WPT Cambodia: Yunsheng Sun wins Kickoff, Cards in the air in Warm-up & Nagaworld Cup
Sunday at WPT Cambodia saw the conclusion of one and the start of two tournaments.
The first side event champion was crowned in the $440 Kickoff, while the $1,100 Warm-up and the $300 Nagaworld Cup got the show on the road.
China’s Yunsheng Sun wins the Kickoff
WPT Cambodia’s first event, the $440 Kickoff, has come to a conclusion today. Out of the 212 entries from Day 1A and Day 1B who played to the money, 27 players came back for Day 2 today to try spin up their min-cash and secure themselves a bigger chunk of the $84,799 prize pool.
The final table was an international mix from five different countries.
USA, China and Malaysia were the last three nations left and it took a long five hours to reach heads-up play between the latter two.
It all came down to a 3-way all-in with Malaysia’s Lai Heng Foo holding 
, China’s Yunsheng Sun 
and Michael “Irish Mike” Wood 
. Sun’s diamonds sparkled the brightest and evolved into a flush, eliminating the shortie Michael Norman Wood and leaving Foo crippled with only a single big blind.
It almost looked like a “chip and a chair” story in the making when Foo managed to double up twice. But the excitement didn’t last long and eventually Sun came up on top, taking the victory, the trophy and $19,983 for first place.

$1,100 Main Event Warm Up sees 95 entries
The $1,100 Main Event Warm Up event had the cards in the air at 1.30pm and paused play at midnight, resuming tomorrow at 1pm with the remaining 20 players for Day 2.
The tournament allowed a single re-entry and saw a total of 95 entries today. Registration is closed and so a total prize pool of $92,150 has been created with the winner taking home $29,234
Some familiar faces from the Asian circuit were spotted in the field:Malaysia’s Victor ChongandNatalie Tehwho arrived directly fromJeju.WSOP Asia POY Season 16, Pete Chen,also made his entrance to the festival in this event.
Slovenia’s Tomaz Kogovsek finished the day in the lead and is in good standing for tomorrow’s action.

$300 Nagaworld Cup Flight 1
Flight 1 of the $300 Nagaworld Cup started at 5pm and saw 52 entries. This flight was played down to the money (7 players paid), finishing the day at 12:30 am. Alexander Hoglind from Sweden finished the day the chip leader with 178,000. But we will see tomorrow how things develop when Flight 2 will kick off at 1pm and ultimately both flights will be combined on Tuesday for Day 2.
