Arriving early is well worth it with a slew of exciting events lined up before the flagship tournaments hit the felt in eight days. Leading the way is the two-day NagaWorld Superstack which wasted no time drawing a strong turnout. Within the first two hours, the event already reached 100 entries with plenty of time left for latecomers to register.

Among the players already at the scene is India’s Amit Kaushik who has had plenty of success at WPT events in Cambodia. Last year, he earned his best score at the Championship in 5th place. USA’s Kyle Bao Diep, who placed 6th at that event, is also getting in some early practice. Other players at tables are WPT Cambodia regulars Marc Joseph from South Africa, Ireland’s Frank Lillis, French players Adrien Berger and Leo Soma.
For players looking for fast action, the Superstack Turbo is a perfect match which kicks off at 18:00 local time. This is a one day event which means the winner will be the first to lift one of the WPT trophies on display.
Cash game enthusiasts are also covered with several stakes to choose from: $1/$2 NLH, $2/5 NLH, $5/10 NLH, $10/$20 NLH, $1/$3 PLO, $5/$10 PLO, and $25/$50 PLO. These tables run around the clock.

The most anticipated are of course the WPT Prime Cambodia and WPT Cambodia Championship. This is the first time for these two major events to be offered in one festival in Asia. The Prime features a buy-in of $1,100 and a $750,00 guarantee and the Championship offers a mightier $1.5 Million guarantee for a buy-in of $3,500. Last year, the Championship debuted in Cambodia amassing a $2.4 Million prize pool. Germany’s Konstantin Held took the crown and is expected to defend his title.
