World Poker Tour announces WPT New Zealand
The World Poker Tour tackled new destinations last year with countries such as India and Japan added to their roster. This year, the adventure continues with a new stop just announced. Coming this summer is WPT New Zealand to be held at Skycity Auckland casino from May 25 – June 4 2018.
This announcement comes as great news for New Zealanders who haven’t seen a major international poker event in a couple of years. The last big festival was the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) which has been on hiatus since 2016.
The upcoming festival WPT New Zealand will feature a NZ$2,200 buy-in Main Event. A total of nine events will be offered including the WPT Opening Event: Auckland Poker Championship, Six Max 30 Sec Shot Clock, High Rollers, and a couple of Freezeout tournaments.
