USOP Danang 2024 draws Main Event Day 1A flight record 366 entries; You Hyun Kim tops 46 survivors
Following nine days of pre-game action, the U Series of Poker – USOP Danang 2024 Main Event took the spotlight at Pullman Danang Beach Resort in Vietnam. It was obvious that it was evident from the start that the turnout would be impressive, with over 100 entries within the first two hours. By the close of registration, a total of 366 entries was recorded, making it the largest opening flight turnout in USOP history.

Thee USOP Danang 2024 Main Event was off to a flying start, surpassing all USOP Day 1A attendance with its 366 entries. This brought the collected pot more than halfway to the VN₫ 15 Billion (~USD 614,500) guarantee, which means, there is a high chance the guarantee will be broken at Day 1B.
The day started with Vietnamese Triton champion Thomas Ward was crushing his table that a sigh of relief was heard when he was moved. Ward went on to bag up the second largest stack, just 4 bb behind the leader You Hyun Kim.
The bubble round came quite fast but getting past it was another story. It took several hand-for-hand rounds with at least two tables each round seeing short stacks survive. The bubble was finally deliverd by Jacob Johnston with pocket Eights full house over a player’s trips Kings.
