The Lord Poker Tournament (TLPT) Jeju 2026 is set to open with one of the more unique formats on the schedule, the Team Event of Nation/City, taking place on May 15, 2026 at 14:00 at LES A Casino , Shinhwa World Resort, Jeju Island, South Korea .

Rather than a standard individual tournament, this event is built around team performance. Each team will consist of six registered players, representing the same nation or city, with every player seated at a different table. That gives each team six chances to collect points before the event moves into its deciding stage.

How the TLPT Team Event works

The buy-in for the event is USD 4,200 (around KRW 6,600,000), and each player receives a 100,000 starting stack. Blind levels will run for 25 minutes, with late registration open until the end of Level 10, which is scheduled for approximately 18:40.

Every six levels, players will have a 15-minute break. A 20-second shot clock is in use from the start of play, and each player begins with four time banks. Time banks reset to four after late registration closes, and will reset again to four at the final table.

Each team may only register six players, and each individual may only register once. Once play begins, one player from each team will be placed on a separate table, with tables played either 8-handed or 9-handed.

Points system and final table format

Each opening table will play down to a winner, with points awarded based on finishing position. Those points are then added to the team total.

Points per table:
1st place: 25 points
2nd place: 18 points
3rd place: 15 points
4th place: 12 points
5th place: 10 points
6th place: 8 points
7th place: 6 points
8th place: 4 points
9th place: 0 points

After that, all table winners advance to the final table, where the same points system will be used again. This means the event is not decided only by how teams perform in the opening round. The final table creates another opportunity to build on the team total and can have a major impact on the final standings.

It is a format that rewards depth across the team, not just one strong finish. Teams need multiple players to score well, while also giving themselves a chance to send someone through to the final table and add another valuable points result there.

Early registration package

TLPT is also offering a special package for team event players. Teams that register for the team event with their mates, friends, or players from the same region, and complete the early bird package payment before May 1, 2026, will receive one free hotel night for every player in the team.

The deadline to register the team itself is May 10. TLPT has also stated that management reserves the right to change any condition of the early bird package.

A different start to TLPT Jeju 2026

TLPT Jeju 2026 runs from May 15 to 25 and is projected to generate an overall prize pool of $8 million, with the $1,000 Circuit Main Event carrying a $1.5 million guarantee. The Team Event of Nation/City gives the festival something different from the start, with national and city pride added into a format that puts the focus on consistency, depth, and collective performance.

For players travelling in groups or representing a local poker community, it offers a strong way to begin the series and a format that is rarely seen on major festival schedules.
