RPT Opener Draws 1,582 Entries as RPT High Roller Breaks Field Record, New Live Tracker Debuts at RPT Championship IV

The fourth edition of the Royal Poker Tour (RPT) at Royal Poker Club is now underway, with RPT Championship IV running from September 11 to 22, 2026 in Hanoi, Vietnam .

The series has already produced strong numbers across its opening events, including a massive turnout for the RPT Opener and a record-breaking field in the RPT High Roller Opener .

Phi Vu Nguyen Takes Down RPT Opener

The first event of the series, the RPT Opener , attracted a massive 1,582 entries, comfortably surpassing its initial VND 6 billion guarantee.

A total of 159 players earned a share of the VND 9.2 billion (~USD 355,480) prize pool, with local player Phi Vu Nguyen eventually taking down the event for VND 1.5 billion (~USD 57,915).

The victory marked a breakthrough moment for Nguyen, who came into the event with only around USD 7,000 in recorded live earnings. The RPT Opener title and seven-figure payout now stand as the biggest cash of his career.

One of the best things about RPT Championship IV is the Chip Leader Bonus, which is fully sponsored by RPT and does not come from the prize pool. While similar bonuses are offered at some local tournaments, they are often taken from the prize pool. RPT makes it a genuine additional bonus for the player who earns it.

The promotion applies to the first two flights of the RPT Opener, as well as the first two flights of the Mini Main Event, Championship, and Main Event.

RPT High Roller Opener Breaks Field Record

The first high roller of the festival also delivered a record-setting turnout.

The RPT High Roller Opener , featuring a VND 22 million (~USD 850) buy-in and a VND 2 billion guarantee, drew a massive 224 entries. The field pushed the prize pool up to VND 4.3 billion (~USD 167,785), making it the largest high roller field ever recorded at RPT.

South Korea’s Jaemoon Seok ultimately claimed the title and VND 1 billion (~USD 38,610), defeating WSOP bracelet winner Georgios Skarparis heads-up. The result adds another international name to the growing list of RPT champions while giving Seok a major score in Hanoi.

Arjun Agrawal Wins RPT High Roller Deepstack

Another high roller followed with the RPT High Roller Deepstack , which carried a larger VND 33 million (~USD 1,270) buy-in. The tournament drew 69 entries, with India’s Arjun Agrawal emerging as the champion for VND 550 million (~USD 21,235).

Agrawal has been grinding tournaments in Vietnam since July, making appearances at different events around the country. His latest result adds another significant score to his run in the local poker circuit. He defeated one of Vietnam’s strongest local players, Quang Minh Nguyen , in heads-up play to secure the title.
