RPT Championship I Main Event Begins With 30 Royal Tiger Trophies Awarded

The first ever Royal Poker Tour (RPT) Championship I is now in full swing at the new Royal Poker Club Hanoi, and the atmosphere has been lively since the festival opened on November 11. This debut edition brings ten days of poker with a total guaranteed prize pool of VND 35 Billion across 44 events, making it one of the biggest and most ambitious poker launches ever held in Vietnam. As of today, 30 Royal Tiger Trophies have already been awarded.

First Ever RPT Championship Continues With Big Turnouts and Exciting Wins

Now on Day 7, the festival has already shown strong fields, steady action, and tables running from early afternoon until midnight. With several multi day tournaments, High Roller events, and a Main Event holding a VND 10 Billion guarantee, the RPT Championship I is quickly becoming a major event for the poker community in Hanoi.

All games are hosted inside the Royal Poker Club on the second floor of the 195 Kham Thien Building in Dong Da District. The room is spacious, well organized, and known for its professional staff, making it a reliable venue for large tournaments.

RPT Championship I Main Event: Takes Command on Day 1A

The RPT Championship I Main Event is one of the biggest highlights of the festival. Day 1A drew 190 entries, featuring a mix of local regulars, Vietnamese pros, and visiting players all hoping to reach the final day and compete for a share of the VND 10 Billion (~US$ 380,000) prize pool. With a buy in of VND 16.5 Million (~US$ 600), the event has attracted a wide range of players.

At the end of the day, Nguyen Duy Thuc finished as the Day 1A chip leader with a stack of 1,285,000. He also earned the VND 30 Million (~US$ 1,100) chip leader bonus, putting him in a strong position going into Day 2.

Day 1B brought in 227 more entries, and Day 1C added 101 entries, bringing the current total to 518 entries across three flights. With two more starting flights still to come, the final field is expected to be even larger.

Super Star Challenge: Nguyen Thi Xoa Triumphs in the Festival’s Premier High Roller

The Super Star Challenge, the marquee High Roller event of the series, delivered an outstanding showcase of elite competition. With a buy in of VND 55 Million (~US$ 2,000) and a field of 98 entries, the event attracted many of Vietnam’s most consistent performers alongside several regional High Roller specialists.

Nguyen Thi Xoa ultimately claimed the title after a poised and disciplined run through the final table. One of Asia’s few female High Roller regulars, Nguyen has amassed more than US$ 1 Million in live tournament earnings, including a deep run at Triton earlier this year where she finished runner up for her career best score.

In Hanoi, she once again displayed the precision and calm that define her game, outlasting the field before defeating Nguyen Thanh Tung heads up to secure the trophy. Her victory stands as one of the signature moments of the festival so far.

Mini Main Event: Nguyen Van Phuong Lifts the Royal Tiger Trophy

The Mini Main Event demonstrated just how popular the RPT Championship has become. The event attracted a huge field of 1,316 entries, with players filling nearly every table from the first level until the end of the day. The field included beginners, traveling grinders, and many locals looking to take their shot.

At the end of the long and busy tournament, Nguyen Van Phuong emerged as the champion. He played with discipline and good timing throughout the event before finally securing the win. For his achievement, he received the Royal Tiger Trophy, one of the signature awards of the festival.

RPT Champion to Receive GOP Main Event Package Worth US$ 3,000

In addition to the Main Event prize pool, the RPT I is offering an exclusive bonus through a partnership with Gods of Poker.
