Navid King Wins Crown Championship Main Event for AU$100,960
Navid King takes down Main Event
The Main Event of theCrown Poker Championshipseries saw a total of 409 players pay their AU$1,650 entry over two starting flight days. This ensured that 50 players would be paid, with AU$139,555 set aside for the champion.
As the field was thinned through the course of play, there were a few interesting names still in contention. Alexander Lynskey was hoping to go a couple of spots better than his 3rd place finish in the High-Roller, Australia’s own Jackie Glazier remained a threat in the late stages, while online pro and former Sunday Million winner Jesse McKenzie would also prove difficult to dislodge from his seat.
Lynskey enjoyed a deep run in this event, but his challenge eventually came crashing down with two tables remaining. He had to settle for 15th place, but Glazier continued to press on, and made the final table, along with McKenzie. Unfortunately for Glazier, her impressive run couldn’t quite carry her to the top few spots, and she exited in 6th place. Steve Pappas would bust soon after in 5th, before Vasken Demlakian exited the stage in 4th.
The players managed to reach an agreement over chopping up the prize pool once they were three handed, with a little over AU$10,000 left as a bonus for the winner. Jack Brown was eliminated shortly after in 3rd, and despite the efforts of McKenzie, Navid King emerged victorious from the heads-up duel that followed. King is crowned champion and picks up AU$100,960, along with the trophy.
Final Table Payouts (AU$):
2 – Jesse McKenzie: $90,000

6 – Jackie Galzier: $24,540

The opening AU$200 buy-in event attracted 655 entries, which helped the prize pool surpass the AU$100,00 guarantee by a few thousand dollars. The tournament began on April 19th and by the time the field had been whittled down to three players, Nicholas Hore, Jamie Crawley and Brett Whitney were the only players still staking their claim to the biggest prize. Hore would eventually finish 3rd for AU$8,910 with Crawley being pushed into a 2nd place AU$14,410 payday by eventual champion, Brett Whitney. He took home AU$23,060 for his win.

Craig Blight finished 4th, with Alexander Lynskey adding to his $1.17 million in live career cashes with a 3rd place finish here for AU$23,560.
