Super Deep at Manila Megastack 19Poker players were given another offering of prize-worthy events on Day 6 of Manila Megastack 19, happening from September 19 to 29 at the PokerStars LIVE room of Okada Manila in Manila, Philippines. To date, 21 of the 40 spadies up for grabs have been claimed. Here are the latest winners.

On Day 6 of the festival, one of these events was the Megastack PHP 1 Million Guaranteed. 192 entries bought in for PHP 12,000 (~USD 215) and built the prize pool beyond the guarantee to PHP 1,966,694 (~USD 35,000). Top 27 players made it in the money for their share of the prize pool, but of course the biggest share went to the champion Li Satoshi, who took home with him a PokerStars spadie and the lion’s share of the prize pool, amounting to PHP 427,694 (~USD 7,600). Satoshi also bagged a seat to the Megastack Main Event that kicks off in a few days.

At the same time that was happening, the final table of the Super Deep PHP 1 Million Guaranteed resumed play to determine a champion. The final table had to be given an extra unscheduled day since the supposed one-day event went deeper than expected. Pun intended.

There were 222 entries paying a buy-in of Php 12,000 (~USD 215) and creating a double-the-guarantee prize pool of  PHP 2,273,990 (~USD 40,400). The top 31 players earned their share, but merging as the champion after nearly 20 hours of poker action was Australian Bailey Fusco, who took good care of an early chip lead all the way to a PokerStars spade trophy and the winner’s top prize of PHP 471,000 (~USD 8,400).

The PLO Turbo side event saw 21 entries buying in for PHP 15,000 (~USD 265) to create a prize pool of PHP 268,884 (~USD 4,700). The top 4 players were the only ones paid a share of the prize pool. The biggest share, of course, went to the PLO Turbo champion Terry Gonzaga, who earned PHP 115,500 (~USD 2,055) along with a PokerStars spade trophy.

The Single Day High Roller whetted the appetite of players with deeper pockets. 7 entries provided a PHP 100,000 (~USD 1,800) buy-in and built a prize pool of PHP698,400 (~USD 12,000). Eventually, the top 3 players were given a generous payout. The top winner was none other than Chen Zhen, who received the prize pool’s lion share of PHP 348,000 (~USD 6,100). The second place winner was Flo Campomanes who took home PHP 210,000 (~USD 3,750) for his efforts. John Tech earned a 3rd place payout of PHP 140,400 (~USD 2,500) for his efforts.

The PHP 25,000 NLH TURBO saw 8 entries of PHP 25,000 (~USD 445) build a prize pool of PHP 170,720 (~USD 3,040) that would be shared among the top 3 players. The biggest share of the prize pool went to NLH Turbo Champion Hata Shoma, who bagged PHP85,420 (~USD 1,520) and a PokerStars spadie. Second placer Junya Sakaguchi earned PHP 51,200 (~USD 910) and Fuji Kenta took home a third place payout of PHP 34,100 (~USD 605).

Day 6 also kicked off one of the major multi-day events of Manila Megstack 19. The Megstack Turbo PHP 2 Million Guaranteed launched its first flight of three Day 1s today. 66 entries bought in for PHP 12,000 (~USD 215) for a chance to be among the top 10 to advance to the Day 2 final to be played on Friday. Leading the pack of 10 survivors was Papo Norbertas, who topped Flight A with 407,000. Papo and the other survivors carry their chips with them when they play on the Day 2 final along with the qualified players from flights B and C.

All the survivors making it two Day 2 are already guaranteed a  minimum payout, but will compete to see who can earn the most on their climb up the payout ladder. The payouts are yet to be determined, but for certain the Megastack Turbo winner will receive a PHP200,000 APPT Championship Main Event Package which includes a few nights stay at Okada Manila and a seat to the Main Event.

There is more poker to be played in the upcoming days with more prizes to be offered. Two more flights will launch for the Megastack Turbo PHP 2 Million Guaranteed  and there is still the Megastack Main Event, another multi-day tournament with a PHP 20,000,000 guarantee.
