45 | Masato Yokosawa | Japan | 3,175,000 | 13 |
Just before the start of Day 7, both players shared with Somuchpoker their thoughts on running deep and on strategy at trying to reaching the final table:
Anirban Das – To be honest it feels normal at the moment because it hasn’t sunk in. It feels like any tournament at the moment so maybe after a couple of days it will hit me that it is the Main Event. As for strategy, because the blinds are up, I have a slightly shorter stack than previous days, so I will adjust accordingly, get a sense of the players since it is a new seat draw, take some time to sense how the table is reacting. Also on opening ranges, tighten up a little bit, but adjust in the blinds accordingly to compensate for the tightening of the open range. And I guess play each hand on the all the information available and try to make the best possible decision.
Masato Yokosawa: It’s very exciting to be here and fun! But I am short stacked so I just have to get aces, kings, good hands at the start. I need to get lucky with the big stacks around me. After I double up, I will work on strategy.
