Kevin Martin saved himself a really expensive haircut

When it comes to high-stakes entertainment, Kevin Martin always knows how to raise the bar. The GGPoker Ambassador recently took on a self-imposed “War Room Challenge” that had fans glued to their screens for 60 straight hours. The catch? If he finished the weekend at a loss, he had to shave his head completely bald!

Kevin Martin’s $30,000 Hairline

Throughout the marathon session, Martin didn’t take the easy road. He fired nearly $30,000 in buy-ins, battling through some of the toughest high-stakes fields in online poker. The cameras stayed on the entire time-capturing everything from his big bluffs to his much-needed naps between sessions.

By the final hours, it was looking a bit hairy for K-Mart. With only a short time left, his total cashes were sitting at $26,211, while his buy-ins had reached over $29,000. It seemed like the clippers were inevitable.

Saved by the Rakeback?

Then came the plot twist: rakeback. After crunching the numbers, Martin added $3,065 in earned rakeback to his total. This technicality pushed him into the green by a mere $11! He eventually sealed the deal with a small tournament win, finishing the challenge in profit and saving his hair by the skin of his teeth.

While some fans are debating whether rakeback should count in a profit-based challenge, Kevin is just happy to keep his luscious locks for another day.

Whether you think he “cheated” fate or played it smart, one thing is for sure: Kevin Martin continues to be one of the most exciting creators in the game today. You can catch the full recap of the War Room Challenge on his YouTube channel!
