Japan’s Daigo Nakata captures maiden title at APL Manila Tip-Off; Darren Yu wins Hyper Turbo
Festival opener APL Tip-Off found its champion after the lone Japanese at the final table, Daigo Nakata, defeated local player Raymundo Gomez at heads up. This was Nakata’s first ever live victory. It earned him a career high payout of PHP 649,000 (~$26,770).
