International Poker Tour announces its return in May! First stop in Macau
Alisports returns to action on May 16 – 20 for its second-ever International Poker Tour (IPT) event. The five-day poker festival will take place at the luxurious Venetian Macao with joint organizer Poker King Club. According to the announcement, this will be the first of several destinations lined up for the calendar year.
In December 2016, Alisports entered into the poker market creating its own brand, the International Poker Tour. Since then, the IPT has had one event which was held last year in Sanya at Hainan Island, China. The Main Event had a massive 8 million RMB guaranteed prize pool (~US$1.2 Million) drawing in a huge field of 698 players.
HKD 5 Million guaranteed Main Event
For the upcoming event in May, players will once again be seeing a highly lucrative Main Event with an advertised HK$5 Million guarantee. This featured event spans the entire length of the festival, kicking off on opening day. There are three starting days in total followed by Day 2, Day 3, and the Final Day. Buy-in is HK$15,000.
In addition to the poker festival, the IPT launches its new online platform. This has taken nearly a year to conceive and will be up and running in mid-April with online satellites and freerolls to IPT 2018 Macau.
Several side events are also scheduled including a HKD80,000 High Roller Event.
