GOP Taipei Day 6: Robertus Hollink Wins Super High Roller as Main Event Builds Toward Guarantee

Day 6 of The Trial of Wisdom – GOP Taipei 2026 at CTP Asia Poker Arena , saw Robertus Hollink claim the gold Gauntlet after winning the GOP Super High Roller , while the Main Event continued with its second starting flight.

Kristof Segers emerged as the Main Event chip leader with 2,085,000, while Fendy Kosasih added another high roller title and the GOP Accumulator completed its seven starting flights with 569 entries.

Robertus Hollink Wins the GOP Super High Roller

The NT$220,000 GOP Super High Roller drew 11 entries, with Robertus Hollink eventually taking the title and the gold Gauntlet. The final three were Hollink, Indonesia’s Rudy Edenata , and Harry Halim , with Hollink eliminating both Indonesian players on his way to the title.

Halim was the first to fall in third place, leaving Hollink and Edenata heads-up for the championship. In the deciding hand, Edenata opened to 35,000 from the button and Hollink raised to 90,000. Edenata moved all in and Hollink called for his remaining 618,000.

Hollink tabled A♣ Q♣ against Edenata’s J♥ J♣ . The board ran 9♠ Q♥ 5♠ 5♦ 3♥ , giving Hollink the pot and increasing his stack to 1.251 million while Edenata was left with just 69,000. Two hands later, Hollink finished the job to become the GOP Super High Roller champion.

After the win, Hollink spoke highly of the series and the way the festival is run, particularly praising the organization, dealers, food, and people.

“I like almost everything. I think the organization is very good and very well run. The dealers are extremely good, the best in the world. The food is nice, and the people are nice. So actually, I’m kind of surprised that more people aren’t coming.”

Hollink also encouraged players to make the trip to the next GOP stop in South Korea. “For me, Gods of Poker is one of the best series. So I think everyone should come to Incheon in South Korea at the end of October.”

Looking ahead, Hollink already has another target in mind. “I’m going to win the Demigods Challenge. That’s my plan, and maybe the Main Event.”

Main Event Moves Toward the NT$17 Million Guarantee

The NT$33,000 Main Event continued with Flight B, bringing the total field to 74 entries after two of five starting flights. With a NT$17 million guarantee, another 442 entries are needed to reach the guaranteed prize pool.

Kristof Segers finished Flight B as the chip leader with 2,085,000. The Belgian had already come close to surviving Flight A, but returned for another attempt and this time made it through, knocking out Kai Cheng Hsu and Sin Lan Chen within minutes of each other to help burst the bubble.

Harry Halim , who had just finished third in the GOP Super High Roller , also jumped straight into the Main Event and bagged 941,000. Pao Hsuan Hsu finished with 660,000, while South Korea’s Hyungil Jang bagged 469,000. Lian An Jian and Charles Tsai completed the six-player group with 336,000 and 206,000 respectively.

Flight C begins today at 12:30 p.m., with registration closing at around 6:15 p.m. local time. Three starting flights remain for players still looking to qualify for Day 2.

More Main Event Satellites Added

GOP Taipei has also boosted the guarantees on three Main Event satellites, with each now guaranteeing at least 15 Main Event seats.

The first runs today at 9 p.m., followed by two more on September 25 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Each satellite costs NT$3,500, making them the cheapest route into the NT$33,000 Main Event.

The increased guarantees also leave open the possibility of an overlay, giving players another opportunity to secure a Main Event seat for a fraction of the direct buy-in.

Titan Stack Guarantee Doubled to NT$2 Million

The Titan Stack is also getting a major guarantee increase, with the NT$11,000 buy-in event now carrying a NT$2 million guarantee, double its original NT$1 million figure.

There will be three starting flights on September 24, with each flight playing down to the top 13.5% of the field in the money. Every player who reaches the money will receive a NT$33,000 Main Event ticket, deducted from the prize pool, before the remaining players return on Day 2 to play for the title.

Fendy Kosasih Adds Another High Roller Title

Fendy Kosasih continued his strong run in the high rollers by winning the NT$55,000 Single Day High Roller for NT$252,000 (~US$7,930).

The event drew 15 entries, with only three players making the money. Robertus Hollink , who had just won the GOP Super High Roller , jumped straight into the event and finished third, while Kosasih defeated fellow Indonesian William Tjokroprawiro heads-up.

Kosasih had already won the Turbo High Roller the previous day before finishing runner-up in another GOP High Roller , missing out on another chance to claim the Gauntlet. This latest win gave him his second high roller title of the festival.

The final hand saw Tjokroprawiro move all in on a K♦ 7♣ 3♥ 2♠ 8♥ board holding 6♥ 5♦ , giving him a missed gutshot and six-high. Kosasih called with 7♦ 7♥ for a flopped set to secure the title.

GOP Accumulator Completes Seven Flights

The GOP Accumulator completed all seven starting flights on Day 6, drawing 569 entries in total. More than half of those entries came during the final two flights, with Flight F attracting 137 entries and Flight G becoming the largest flight with 175.

A total of 68 players remain, and all are already in the money. They will return to play down to the eventual champion.

Reigning GOP Manila Main Event champion Dakota Anderson arrived late in the afternoon at CTP Asia Poker Arena , played some side events, and also entered the final Accumulator flight, but was unable to bag for Day 2.

GOP Taipei: Day 7 Brings More Action

Day 7 brings the conclusion of the Accumulator alongside another full schedule of events. Main Event Flight C starts at 12:30 p.m., with 5 Card PLO Double Board Bomb Pot running alongside it.

The Demigods Challenge begins at 1 p.m., while the three Titan Stack flights will run throughout the day. Turbo High Rollers and the boosted Main Event satellites will also give players more opportunities to get into the action.
