Every knockout is now a lottery ticket. GGPoker just launched Ocean KO, a progressive knockout where each bounty you win gets a random multiplier from 0.4x to 400x.

That means a $5 bounty can turn into $2,000 in a single hand. In the first orbit. Of a $10 tournament.

Here is how Ocean KO works, what the multipliers really pay, and how to get in on the action today.

What Is GGPoker Ocean KO?

Ocean KO is the biggest new tournament format to hit the world's largest poker site in years. And you can play it right now.

  • Format

    - progressive knockout with random bounty multipliers

  • Multipliers

    - 0.4x to 400x on standard bounties

  • Bounties

    - live from the very first hand

  • Levels

If you love PKOs or Spin & Gold, this is the format built for you.

How Ocean KO Works

Step 1 - Your Buy-in Is Split Three Ways

Half your buy-in becomes the bounty on your head. The rest goes to the prize pool and the fee.

During tournament series, GGPoker also takes its standard 1% Loyalty & Promotions fee from the prize pool.

Step 2 - Every Knockout Spins a Multiplier

Bust a player and the game draws a random multiplier. It is applied to their bounty. You do not know what you will get until the hand is over.

Step 3 - The 50/50 Split

Whatever the bounty is worth after the multiplier:

  • 50% is paid to you as cash - instantly

  • 50% is added to the bounty on your own head

Example: you bust a player with a $5 bounty and hit 10x. The bounty is now worth $50. You pocket $25, and your own bounty jumps from $5 to $30.

Hit the 400x instead, and you bank $1,000 cash, then walk around with a $1,005 bounty on your head.

Ocean KO Multipliers and Odds

This is the table that matters. It tells you how often the big hits land - and how often you will get less than face value.

The same pay table applies to every bounty at Levels 1 to 10, whatever the buy-in. Here it is on a $5 starting bounty:

Multiplier

Four things to know:

  • The average is exactly 1x.

Over time, a bounty pays its face value. GGPoker takes nothing extra from the multipliers - its cut is the normal tournament fee.

  • Most knockouts pay less.

Around 72% of knockouts land below 1x. That is what funds the jackpots.

  • Big hits are not that rare.

A 10x or better lands roughly once every 40 knockouts.

  • The value sits in the big hits.

The 10x alone holds $1.20 of every $5 bounty's expected value. Nearly a third of all bounty value comes from 10x-plus hits.

In a field of 20,000+ players, there are nearly 20,000 multiplier draws. At every big Sunday event, a 400x stops being a dream and becomes a real possibility.

The 14 Ocean KO Levels

In Ocean KO, you need to know who is carrying a monster bounty - fast. The level icons tell you at a glance.

Every player starts as an Egg and evolves as their bounty grows. Your level is set by your bounty, not your chip stack.

Legendary Levels (11 to 14)

Once a bounty hits $10,000 and is worth more than 50x the buy-in, it turns Legendary. The pay table gets flatter at each step, but the numbers get huge.

14

Legendary Shark

$750,000+

A Legendary Shark knockout can be worth up to $1.5 million. That is the kind of score you can chase for a $10 buy-in.

Ocean KO Debut - Record Turnouts

It all sits inside the October Bounty Hunters Series: 1,300+ tournaments, $100 million guaranteed, and buy-ins from $5 to $1,500.

Ocean KO Strategy Tips

Ocean KO is brand new. The players who adjust first will take the most money off the table.

  • Value bounties at face value.

The multiplier averages 1x. Do not call off your stack because you are "due" a 400x.

  • Watch the level icons every hand.

One 100x hit in a $10 game creates a $255 Whale bounty. Standard ranges go out the window when that player is in the pot.

  • Target short stacks with big bounties.

If you cover them, call wider. That is the most valuable spot at the table.

  • Tighten up when you are the target.

Carrying a Whale or Shark bounty? Expect light calls. Bluff less and value bet more.

  • Play fewer tables.

Bounties move fast. Missing one evolution can cost you a jackpot.

  • Bankroll for the swings.

Around 72% of knockouts pay less than face value. Expect long dry spells between big hits.

The format pulls in recreational players chasing a life-changing bounty. That makes the games soft. Get in early while the edge is biggest.
