How Fabiano Kovalski Won the GGMillion$

Fabiano Kovalski entered the GGMillion$ final table with the fifth-largest stack, but the Brazilian gradually worked his way into contention. By the time seven players remained, he had taken the chip lead and was using it to put pressure on his opponents.

Pocket Sevens Send Alisson Piekazewicz Home

One of Kovalski’s key hands came against fellow Brazilian Alisson Piekazewicz. Kovalski moved all-in with pocket sevens, and Piekazewicz called with (Ad) (2c). The flop gave Piekazewicz a pair of deuces alongside a king and a jack, leaving him with a chance to survive. A second king on the turn reduced his options, however, and a three on the river sent him to the rail in seventh place for $97,711.

Kovalski’s Pocket Aces Eliminate Laszlo Bujtas

With four players remaining, Laszlo Bujtas , also known online as Omaha4Rollz, was still looking for a way back into contention after starting the final table as the chip leader. He moved all-in for 26 big blinds with (Ah) (5d) after Hannes Jeschka opened with (Ad) (4h). Kovalski found pocket aces in the big blind and called, while Jeschka folded.

Bujtas failed to improve, finishing fourth for $213,019. The pot gave Kovalski a significant boost at a crucial stage of the tournament.

Hannes Jeschka Falls in Third

Jeschka’s run ended in third place after he moved all-in preflop with king-queen offsuit. Jon AV Santos also held (Kh) (Qs), while Kovalski woke up with pocket sevens and reshoved to isolate the two players.

Jeschka picked up additional outs on the turn but failed to improve on the river, earning $276,368. His elimination set up the heads-up battle between Kovalski and Santos.

Kovalski limped in with (4d) (5d), and Santos checked with (Kc) (8h). The flop came (Qd) (8d) (5h), giving Kovalski a pair and a flush draw. Santos held middle pair and improved to three eights on the turn, then bet three-quarters of the pot. Kovalski called.

The (6d) completed Kovalski’s flush on the river. Santos moved all-in, and Kovalski called to win the pot and secure his first GGMillion$ title. The Brazilian collected $464,794, while Jon AV Santos took home $358,405 for second place.
