Chen Peng and Timothy Chung Capture Triton ONE Single-Day Titles

While many single-day events at Triton ONE carry buy-ins around $2,000, the $5,000 event proved especially popular. A total of 147 players entered, along with 79 re-entries, pushing the prize pool past $1 million with $214,000 set aside for the winner.
Chen Peng Wins $5K Single-Day Event for Career-Best $214K

China’s Chen Peng recorded the biggest win of his career at Triton ONE in Jeju Korea , taking down the $5,000 Single-Day event for $214,000 after navigating a tough final table that included some of poker’s biggest names.
Chen has become a regular presence in Jeju since Triton ONE first arrived last September. He played four events during the inaugural stop and returned again this series looking for a breakthrough result. Before this victory, he had already posted two deep runs, finishing 37th in the $5K Mystery Bounty and 38th in the $10K NLH 7-Handed event for $18,500.
Chen Overcomes Stacked Final Table
The final stages featured strong opposition, including Spanish stars Adrian Mateos and Ander Vallinas, along with Belarus’ Alex Boika. Poker content creator Ethan Yau , also known as Rampage, was among the players who made a deep run earlier in the event before falling short of the final table.

Chen built a large stack heading into the closing stages and carried that momentum into heads-up play against Ye Yi . Facing a shorter stack, Chen kept control of the match and eventually closed out the victory to secure the $214,000 top prize.
The win marks an important milestone for Chen, who has recently been appearing in high-roller tournaments in Cyprus and Malaysia . With the series nearing its final days and the Triton Super High Roller Series about to begin, the result will likely him both confidence and momentum heading into the next part of the festival.

The final two players agreed to a deal during heads-up play, with Chung taking $60,766 and Gao earning $59,734. With the victory, Chung also moved past the $3 million mark in live tournament earnings.
The event also saw strong showings from other series regulars, with Thi Xoa Nguyen finishing 4th for another deep run, and Thailand’s Punnat Punsri taking 9th place, proving yet again the depth of competition in this series.
