Cards flying at APPT Cambodia! – NagaWorld Phnom Penh from May 5 to 15
Cards are flying here at NagaWorld Phnom Penh with the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) back for its second visit to the Kingdom of Wonder. In partnership with boutique gaming consulting company,Connaissance Management, the eleven day festival opened at 1pm today, May 5, 2023 with the NagaWorld Kickoff Event featuring a US$ 50,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Among the faces in the crowd are international players from around the world, some that have tasted victory at the previous APPT Cambodia such as Chi Tsang (pictured below). Also expected is a large contingent of Chinese players. Already seated is two time WSOP bracelet winner Wei Guo Liang.
Two hours into the opener was an opening dance number by K-Stars followed by the ceremonial joining of hands of NagaWorld Senior Operations Manager Christopher Paul Gros, Senior Manager of APPT Lorie Ann Lagrosas, and Connaissance Management General Manager Erique Tan.
At the time of writing, the screens the Kickoff had 90 entries and rising with registration open until 6:20pm. If you miss that window, or you hit the rail, there are still two chances to enter. On Saturday, May 6 are Day 1B at 1pm and Day 1C Turbo at 7pm. Buy in for the Kickoff is US$ 350.

Currency
The country’s currency is the Cambodian Riel, however theUS Dollar is widely accepted. In fact, USD is more accepted than the Riel. At the festival, USD will be used for both tournaments and cash games. Exchange counters are available at the hotel lobby.
