Asian Poker Tour heads to Seoul from June 15 – 24

The Asian Poker Tour is suiting up for its fourth festival of the year taking place in the bustling trend-setting city of Seoul, Korea.

The APT Korea Seoul 2018, as it is aptly called, will run from June 15 – 24 at the city’s premier poker destination, Paradise Casino Walkerhill.

Through the years, the APT has been been a pioneer in seeking out new destinations for their tours, and while Seoul is not exactly an untapped territory, it will be the first time the APT brings their topnotch quality events to this vibrant city.

18 side events

As always, players can expect a roster of poker games with 18 side events on offer. Buy-ins range from KRW 165,000 to KRW 2,150,000 with Deep Stack Turbo games covering the lower end of the scale and the High Rollers on the clear upper end. Favorites such as the Warm Up, Head Hunter, Monster Stack, and Pot Limit Omaha Hi, are just a few that are also on the list.

KRW 1,100,000 Main Event

Midway through the festivities, the Main Event takes center stage. This is the APT’s most prestigious tournament. It is a deep structured No Limit Hold’em tournament with blinds increasing at a slow 60 minute pace. This is the only event where you can win the exclusive APT Championship Ring. The Main Event runs a total of five days, from June 19 -23, with two starting days, Day 2, Day 3, and the Final 8. Buy-in is KRW 1,100,000.

For players with heftier wallets, there are two High Roller events to immediately mark on your calendars, the Pot Limit Omaha High Rollers and the usual High Rollers event. The PLO High Rollers is a rare offering at the APT but it did make the cut for Seoul. The event takes place on June 17 – 18, buy-in is KRW 1,100,000. The second event is the High Rollers taking place from June 23 – 24. This event packs a stronger punch with a buy-in of KRW 2,150,000.
