Final 9 of APPT Warm Up Main Event Emerges; Kurushima Hiroya Leads
The Asia Pacific Poker Tour – APPT Warm Up concluded Day 2 of the Main Event with the field trimmed from 105 players to the Final 9 in just under eight hours of play. The Main Event kicked off on July 10 and over four starting flights, 682 contributed the PHP 16,500 buy in to easily surpass the guarantee. At Day 2, the 105 returning players were met by a larger PHP 9,605,561 (~USD 164,470) prize pool.

Taiwan’s lone representative Wei Chen Lin eliminated Michael Gabby Concepcion (15th) then seesawed his way into the final 9. Lin couldn’t win a hand against Kun Lim, even seeing his aces cracked however, he recovered off Redentor Edocwho in turn made up for the lost chips by denying Phliip Baider a spot at the final table in 10th place.

The final 9 begins at 3pm local time. Each player is now guaranteed PHP 159,561 while awaiting the champion is the PHP 1,730,000 top prize. The top two prizes includes a package to APPT Manila Main Event valued at PHP 120,000. It includes a seat worth PHP 80,000 and accommodations.
