The World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime Vietnam festival was in full swing at the Crown Poker Club with numerous highlights in Day 10. At the top of the news was the MAIN EVENT which attracted 238 entries on its first flight. This was a huge increase from last year’s turnout. 30 players advanced to the next round with Richard Balkau (Hijack Poker) from Australia setting the bar for the next flight.

During the first break, WPT Live Events Specialist Danny McDonagh, WPT Global Event Manager Hillary St. Clair, WPT Host Ashleigh Lawrence, and Crown Poker Club owner Tobias Bui officially welcomed in the games and the brand new WPT Prime Champiosnhip trophy was revealed for the first time.
“We are one year into Prime so for our one year anniversary we are very excited to showcase our brand new WPT Prime Championship trophy. Thank you to all our players, without you we wouldn’t have a World Poker Tour.”
Over at the side events, the biggest story was Cuong Ngoc Huynh who clinched the High Roller Warm Up for his second festival title. This sent Huynh catapulting from 6th rank to the top in the WPT Player of the Festival race. He leads with a big margin. Also walking away as the newest champions were Shuchi Chamaria and Duyen Thi Thuy Le.

Huynh Ngoc Cuong wins second title at the High Roller Warm Up
Another fantastic achievement by Huynh Ngoc Cuong who dominated the High Roller Warm Up to clinch his second series title. Days prior, Huynh shipped the Mystery Bounty event, outlasting a big field of 614 entries. On his latest win, Huynh topped the 168 entry field, the largest high roller turnout of the series to date. He closed Day 1 as massive chip leader, proceeded to enter the final table with over 25 percent of the chips in play, and never relinquished his lead. Huynh has now earned a combined VN₫ 2,854,000,000 (~US$ 121,580).
After eliminating Roman Kolotiuk in 3rd place with dominating , he was up 71 bb to Alan Pham‘s 12 bb. It took just one hand to secure the victory with staying ahead of with a final board .

Shuchi Chamaria wins the Big Bounty
First time winner at WPT Prime with India’s Shuchi Chamarialifting her first ever poker trophy at the Big Bounty event. Chamaria outlasted the 182 entry field to earn an ICM deal payout of VN₫ 138,600,000 (~US$ 5,900). At three handed, the players agreed to flip for it. Chamaria prevailed after three flips, denying Tuan Anh Tran his second series title.
