With 11 players left in the tournament and the final table nearing, Kevin Moon was trying to double or go broke to reach the final table.

Moon in early position open-shoved for 110,000 and found one caller in Sofo Bjorn, who had him covered.

Bjorn was ahead with ace-high but the flop dropped 9♠8♠T♥ giving Moon a pair, an open-ended straight draw, and the lead.

No help came for Bjorn on the 3♦ turn. Moon improved to a straight on the 6♦ river giving him a much-needed double-up.

Under the gun, Moon open-shoved once again for 270,000 and got called by Yang Haibo in the big blind taking them to showdown and putting Moon at risk, once again.

Moon had Haibo dominated when the dealer fanned out 4♦T♠K♠ pushing the big blind player in the lead.

Haibo went further ahead when the 4♠ dropped on the turn giving him trip. But now, Moon got more out with a four-card flush draw.

The 9♠ river completed his flush, giving Moon another double up and leaving Haibo with around ten bigs. Haibo was eliminated soon after.

The KRW 300,000 Deepstack got off to a strong start, with its opening flight attracting 134 entries and already building a prize pool of KRW 40 million (~USD 30,000). With two more flights scheduled for today, that figure is expected to grow further before the final field is set.

Day 1B got underway at 2:30 PM, with late registration closing at 4:25 PM. The third and final flight is scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM, with registration remaining open until 6:20 PM.

Players who make it through any of the three starting flights will already have secured a place in the money. They will then return later today at 8:30 PM for the final day, where the remaining field will play down until a champion is crowned.

Okubo Ko

The first round of Mystery Bounty pulls has already produced a big winner, with Japan’s Okubo Ko stealing the spotlight after collecting three bounties worth a combined KRW 13.5 million (~USD 10,120).

The highlight came from his first draw, where Okubo landed the second-biggest bounty worth KRW 10 million (~USD 7,500). His other two pulls added another KRW 3.5 million (~USD 2,620) to his haul.

Despite the big hit, the KRW 15 million (~USD 11,240) top bounty remains in play, giving the remaining players another shot at the biggest prize.

There are still 17 players remaining in the Mystery Bounty event.

Junjie Zhang

Junjie Zhang was caught betting around 220,000 into a pot of 250,000 sitting beside a completed board of J♣4♥J♦A♥K♦.

Action was on Taisaku Iwao, his heads-up opponent, struggling to figure out what to do next. Iwao's face could not have been painted at all, frowning, twisting, making it very apparent the pain of making the decision. Zhang had bet most of his stack and calling would take 50% of Iwao's.

Iwao looked down at his cards, tapped the table with it and painfully folded his hand.

Bjorn Sofo, who was still at the table waiting for the action to conclude, turned to Zhang and said, "Nice bluff!"

"How would you know?" the Chinese player replied.

After Sofo explained how he had figured it out, Zhang smiled and revealed his 9♠8♣, confirming the bluff. Iwao, clearly impressed by the read, couldn't help but smile.

Excitement builds with every passing day at WPT Seoul 2026 at INSPIRE Entertainment Resort. New faces take their seats, new names make their mark, and new champions are crowned and today promises to deliver more of the same.

The spotlight today is on Event #11: Mystery Bounty, which attracted a total of 258 entries and generated a KRW 139,320,000 prize pool. Now, 33 players return for Day 2 with the title, prize money, and the mystery bounties still up for grabs.
