Jiaxian Pan Leads Final 14 Players After Day 3 of the 2026 WPT Cambodia Championship Event

The Season 24 WPT Cambodia $3,500 Championship Event is one step closer to crowning a champion at the luxurious NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh. For the third year in a row, the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup is on display in the Kingdom of Cambodia and the 425-entry strong field has been whittled down to just 14 hopefuls.

All of them have already locked up a cash prize of $18,300 but the biggest slices of the $1,500,000 guaranteed prize pool is set to be distributed on the final two days inside of the lavish Grand Ballroom at Naga 1.

Jiaxian Pan came out on top of a close-knit race to claim the top spot with 2,335,000 in chips but several others are within close proximity such as Chengcai Pan (2,240,000), Julien Sitbon (2,080,000), and Day 3 chip leader Pedro Coloma (1,990,000).

Indian live poker veteran Kunal Patni sits in the middle of the pack with 1,600,000 and the same also applies for the third-place finisher of the 2026 WPT Prime Cambodia $1,100 Championship Event Pang Kok Yong (1,105,000). Neng Zhao finished in 8th place in this very event one year ago and has the chance to surpass that score after he advanced with 755,000 in chips.

Among the notable casualties on Day 3 were the likes of Amin Riyazati, Anzhela Vasylenko, Ceesvin Abdulla, Travis Endersby, and Linh Tran. Riyazati had a day to forget and went from one of the chip leaders to payout desk after losing four crucial pots within quick succession.

WPTGlobal ambassador Romulo Dorea was grinding a shorter stack for an extended period and became short again after losing a flip with pocket nines versus ace-queen suited. He then couldn't come from behind with ace-five suited versus pocket queens and that set up the final two tables for the night.

Ultimately, the last casualty was the final WPTGlobal online qualifier in contention. Sven Mc Dermott bowed out in 15th place for $18,300 when his pocket aces were outflopped by the king-jack of Sitbon.

The goal for the penultimate tournament day is reaching the final six players and they will combine to a single table once there are nine contenders still in the mix. The action is set to recommence at 11.30 a.m. local time on Sunday, February 8, 2026 with 45 minutes left in level 21, which features blinds of 15,000-25,000 and a big blind ante of 25,000.

Pang Kok Yong Makes Another Huge Fold; Then Jams Last Hand

Level 21: 15,000 / 25,000 ante: 25,000

Pang Kok Yong raises to 55,000 and Chengcai Pan calls. On the 9♠ 6♠ 4♠ flop, Pan check-calls a bet and does so again for 125,000 on the K♦ turn for 125,000.

After the 7♦ river, Yong sizes down to 75,000 and Pan moves all-in.

"If you bluff me, show ... it will be on the news," Yong says after he previously tells his opponent the same in Chinese. Ultimately, Yong folds the K♥ K♣ face-up for a turned set of kings.

Pan never shows his cards and slides them into the muck.

"Last time I fold a big hand," Yong adds and bumps fists with Pan after the hand is over.

In the very next hand, Alen Bakovic raises and Yong just calls. Bakovic check-calls small bets on the T♥ 6♠ 5♣ flop and the 4♥ turn.

Bakovic also checks the 7♦ on the river which brings a four-liner on the board. Yong now moves all-in for massive 670,000, well more than the pot, and Bakovic tank-folds just before the end of play.

In back-to-back hands, Gleb Ershov gets involved to go down a little and back up. The first hand opens with a raise from Peter Kotsiris at middle position that Ershov calls on the button and Khoi Le Nguyen on the small blind.

WPT Cambodia Championship S24 at NagaWorld Grand Ballroom

Welcome to Day 3 of the Season 24 WPT Cambodia Championship Event taking place at NagaWorld Integrated Resorts in Phnom Penh. Another exciting round is anticipated with the field down to just 54 players out of 425 total entries.

Running from February 4 to 9, today's stage resumes with all of the returning players guaranteed a piece of the USD 1,500,000 prize pool which will be distributed in its entirety courtesy of NagaWorld. Be sure to scroll down for the payouts or tap the Payouts tab.

Leading in today's pack is Pedro Coloma with an overwhelming 1,574,000 stack, equivalent to 197 big blinds or 31 starting stacks. He will be the player to measure up to. Also in the millionaire range but 61 big blinds behind the leader is Julien Sitbon with a massive 1,085,000 (136 big blinds).

One player firmly on radar is Pang Kok Yong who enters ranked fourth with 923,000 (115 big blinds). Yong is riding high on a successful 3rd place finish at the WPT Prime Championship just days prior.

With the average stack at 49 big blinds, it will be another grueling grind for a spot at Day 4.
