HAND #200:

For the second hand in a row, the action commences with a button raise to 500,000 by Micheal O'Neill and a three-bet to 1,500,000 by Xiaosheng Zheng. This time, however, O'Neill declares all-in for around 7.5 million and Zheng beats him into the pot to instantly vault out of his seat.

"He has it every time," O'Neill says with a dry smile to Sven Mc Dermott on the rail.

The 7♣ 6♠ 3♠ offers little help and O'Neill is looking for running cards to stay in contention. One of them comes with the J♦ turn but the Irishman needs another jack.

"One time," Zheng says and points to the board.

"Yeah, one time for me," O'Neill jokes back.

The river is the blank 2♦ and that ends the tournament right there.

Zheng is crowned the champion and takes home $244,500 in cash according to the ICM deal that both players struck prior to the start of the heads-up. O'Neill earns the larger cash prize worth $249,700 but it will be Zheng who has his name etched on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup after he comes out on top of 425 entries in the Season 24 WPT Cambodia $3,500 Championship Event at the five-star NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh.

It took two hundred hands on the final day to go from six hopefuls all the way to a winner and the heads-up stage lasted longer than reaching the final duel with rapid-fire action until a champion was crowned.

Hands #195-199: Final Two Players

HAND #195: Yiaosheng Zheng raises to 600,000 and Micheal O'Neill defends the big blind to then check-fold the A♣ 9♦ 2♣ flop when Zheng bets.

HAND #196: "I feel this is gonna be a big hand," O'Neill tells Sven Mc Dermott on the rail.

He raises to 500,000 and Zheng comes along to the Q♥ 7♠ 6♣ flop. Zheng checks and O'Neill bets 350,000. The check-raise to 1,050,000 follows and O'Neill calls.

Zheng bets the 3♣ turn for 2,500,000 and O'Neill folds.

HAND #197: Zheng opens to 500,000 and O'Neill calls. They check to the J♠ 9♦ 4♣ 8♣ 2♠ river on which O'Neill bets 950,000. Zheng calls but cannot beat the J♦ 5♥ of O'Neill.

HAND #198: O'Neill raises to 500,000 and calls a three-bet to 1,500,000. Zheng bets the A♣ 8♦ 6♦ flop for 1,000,000 and O'Neill folds.

HAND #199: Zheng limps and O'Neill checks for both to check the 9♠ 8♥ 2♥ flop. O'Neill check-folds to a bet of 300,000.

Hand #190-194: Xiaosheng Zheng Doubles Up And Overtakes

HAND #190: After a flurry of wins for Micheal O'Neill, the buck stops here. He opens for 500,000, Xiaosheng Zheng three-bets to 1,500,000, O'Neill calls. At the flop 6♥ 9♠ 7♥ Zheng drills a second barrel of 1,200,000 which is met with a shove. Zheng snap-calls and is at risk of elimination.

Zheng needs to dodge seven cards and does it on the turn with the 4♣ appearing. The river also comes clean with the Q♠ for Zheng to double up and take back the lead.

HAND #191: After losing the showdown that shaved a chunk of his stack, O'Neill reclaims a bit of the lost chips. After Zheng limps in, he opens 500,000 and Zheng calls. At the flop 2♠ 5♣ 5♠ with a pair showing, O'Neill continues for 600,000 and takes down the pot then and there.

HAND 192: O'Neill opens the minimum then Zheng three-bets to 1,500,000.

O'Neill asks, "big hand again down there?" Getting no reply, he calls, the flop comes Q♥ T♥ 8♣ Zheng pummels again for 2,000,000 and that induces a fold.

HAND #193: On a limped pot with both players checking to the turn A♥ 2♦ Q♦ 8♠ O'Neill bets 500,000 and Zheng calls to pump up the pot. O'Neill fires again on the river 7♠ for 900,000 and again Zheng calls.

O'Niell has the goods, showing A♠ 4♣

HAND #194: O'Neill continues to grind for the lost chips raising 500,000 which Zheng calls on the big blind. On a K♦ J♦ 4♠ flop, Zheng checks again, O'Neill tests him with a bet of 425,000, Zheng folds.

Hand #182-189: Micheal O'Neill In The Driver's Seat

Level 31: 125,000 / 250,000 ante: 250,000

HAND #182: Micheal O'Neill min-raises on the button and Xiaosheng Zheng defends. Action repeats on the Q♥ Q♠ 9♠ flop with Zheng defending once more with a check-call on a 350,000 continuation bet. This slows down O'Neill who checks back on the turn 7♠ Zheng then switches up on the 2♣ river with a lead bet of 600,000 which is good for the pot with O'Neill folding.

HAND #183: On a limped pot, Zheng bets 250,000 on a monochrome K♠ A♠ 6♠ flop and O'Neill check-calls. The next two cards 8♥ turn and K♥ river sees no action and O'Neill says, "I have it," then shows the 2♠ 4♠ flush.

HAND #184: O'Neill min-raises and Zheng defends the big blind. Easy pot for O'Neill whose 350,000 continuation bet on the Q♠ A♣ 4♦ flop earns him the pot uncontested.

HAND #185: Third in a row for O'Neill who three-bets on top of Zheng's 550,000 open but before the count, Zheng folds and comments, "why reraise? So many good hands."

HAND #186: Fourth in a row for O'Neill who opens with a min-raise then continues on the K♠ 2♣ A♣ flop after Zheng checks. Zheng calls and they go to the turn 7♦ where O'Neill fires 1,000,000 and that does the job as Zheng folds.

HAND #187: On a limped pot, Zheng bets 250,000 on a flop of A♣ 9♣ Q♠ then folds to O'Neill's 800,000 check-raise for five in a row to the Irishman.

HAND #188: Zheng walks.

HAND #189: Zheng limps in but is denied the flop with O'Neill firing a raise to 750,000. Zheng folds.

Hand #172-181: Micheal O'Neill Keeps Xiaosheng Zheng At Bay

HAND #172: Xiaosheng Zheng gets a walk.

HAND #173: Zheng limps in and Micheal O'Neill checks, then checks again on the 9♠ 2♦ A♥ flop. Zheng takes the spot to bet 250,000, and O'Neill calls. They both opt to check the turn 6♦ then the river 5♥ brings action back with an open from O'Neill for 550,000. Zheng calls then pays up after O'Neill tables 9♥ 2♠ two pair.

HAND #174: O'Neill min-raises and Zheng defends on the big blind. Both players take it easy on the flop then Zheng slides out 600,000 on a turn board of 2♠ 6♠ 8♥ O'Neill calls to bring the K♥ on the turn. Zheng dips in and barrels 1,100,000 earning a quick fold from O'Neill.

HAND #175: On a limped pot, both players check it all the way. With the board showing 8♣ J♦ 3♣ 6♥ A♠, O'Neill has 2♣ 4♠ four-high, Zheng laughs as he turns over T♠ 2♥ ten-high for the pot.

HAND #176: O'Neill min-raises and Zheng tops up on the big blind. O'Neill continues for 400,000 on the A♠ J♣ 7♣ flop and it's good for the scoop.

HAND #177: Zheng loses another million to O'Neill in this hand. He kicks it off with a 550,000 raise that O'Neill calls on the big blind. Zheng continues for 450,000 on the flop Q♠ 7♥ T♣ and again it's called by O'Neill. After they check the turn 9♦ O'Neill leads for 700,000 on the river 6♠ with a gutshot showing, Zheng folds.

HAND #178: O'Neill steals the big blind and ante with an uncalled raise.

HAND #179: Zheng limps in and O'Neill checks and checks again at the flop of 4♠ K♦ Q♦

Zheng tests for 250,000 and the bet earns him the pot.

HAND #169: First hand after the break, Xiaosheng Zheng raises 525,000, Micheal O'Neill fires back 1,425,000, Zheng lets go and O'Neill reveals A♥ A♣ bullets on the first hand", he tells a friend on the rail.

HAND #170: O'Neill opens the minimum, Zheng calls then quickly checks the flop A♥ 7♦ 5♦ O'Neill takes the spot to continue for 400,000 and wins the pot with Zheng folding.

HAND #171: Zheng open the minimum and O'Neill continues to be aggressive, reraising to 750,000. Zheng tames the action with a call however no brakes for O'Neill who fires bets 500,000 on the flop of 3♠ A♠ 8♥ Zheng calls again and they go another round to the turn 7♥ O'Neil triple barrels 1,200,000 and finally scoops the pot with Zheng letting go once more.

Hands 166-168: Micheal O'Neill Asks for a Big Hand and Gets It

HAND #166: Micheal O'Neill opens to 500,000 and Xiaosheng Zheng calls to the Q♦ 7♠ 2♥ flop. Zheng checks, O'Neill bets 350,000 and Zheng calls.

The K♣ turn brings no action and the T♥ river is check-folded to a bet of 400,000.

HAND #167: Zheng opens to 500,000 and O'Neill defends to a flop of K♠ 8♦ 3♦ O'Neill check-calls for 400,000 and then checks the J♠ turn. Zheng bets 1,400,000 and wins the pot right there.

HAND #168: Prior to the hand, O'Neill asks Zheng if needs the scheduled break and Zheng nods. "But let me have a big hand first," O'Neill replies and then raises to 500,000, Zheng calls.

On the K♠ T♦ 2♥ flop, Zheng check-calls 350,000 and does so again for 850,000 on the 5♥ turn. The river brings the Q♥ and Zheng checks the third street in a row. O'Neill bets 2,200,000 and earns the call he was looking for, revealing his A♣ J♦ for broadway.

HAND #31: Kunal Patni opens from under the gun for 200,000 and Xiaosheng Zheng defends on the big blind. Both players pass up the flop then Zheng bets 275,000 on a turn board 2♦ 7♦ T♥ 3♦ Patni folds.

HAND #32: On the button, Chengcai Pan opens for 200,000 and Kunal Patni tops up on the big blind. Both players check to the turn board Q♥ 6♣ 7♦ J♥ where Patni leads for 150,000 only to give it up to Pan's 425,000 raise.

HAND #33: Xiaosheng Zheng opens for 200,000 and wins the blinds and ante.

Crushing defeat for Julien Sitbon who entered the day at the bottom and chipped up to a healthier stack when he ran into an unlucky runout.

The hand opens with a 200,000 raise from button player Micheal O'Neill for 200,000, small blind Julien Sitbon shoves and O'Neill snap-calls.

Patni takes the lead on the K♥ T♥ 3♣ flop and Yong needs a deuce or running hearts.

HAND #11: Immediately after Pang Kok Yong three-bet jammed and showed his bluff, he three-bet jams again on top of Xiaosheng Zheng's 200,000 open. Big blind Kunal Patni moves all in as well and Zheng gets out of the heat.

HAND #5: No callers to Micheal O'Neill's 225,000 to win the blinds and ante.

HAND #6: From under the gun, Julien Sitbon opens 200,000, Xiaosheng Zheng three-bets 425,000 at cutoff, Sitbon fires a four-bet jam for 1,400,000, Zheng folds.

Sitbon says, "I had kings."

Zheng replies back, "I had eights."

Sitbon returns, "no, you didn't have eights. Chinese don't fold eights," which gets a laugh from Zheng.

HAND #7: Kunal Patni opens 200,000 on the button then folds to Micheal O'Neill's four-bet jam on the small blind.

HAND #8: Action folds around to the small blind Julien Sitbon who limps in then folds to big blind Chengcai Pan's 300,000 raise.

HAND #9: From cutoff, Micheal O'Neill opens 200,000 and big blind Xiaosheng Zheng defends to take them to a flop of Q♥ J♣ 2♠ O'Neill continues for 175,000 and Zheng sticks around for the turn 6♣ O'Neill fires again for 650,000 and wins the pot with Zheng opting to fold.

HAND #1: Pang Kok Yong raises to 150,000 and Julien Sitbon in the big blind glances at his cards. "Maybe I play just one hand," the French poker pro says and then adds "do you want them?" while pushing the chips towards the dealer to count.

Sitbon is all-in for 1,175,000 and Yong folds.

Prior to the hand, the blinds increase to 50,000-100,000 with a big blind ante of 100,000.

HAND #2: Micheal O'Neill raises to 200,000 from the button and wins the blinds.

HAND #3: Yong opens 200,000 first to act and Xiaosheng Zheng calls in the big blind. Following the A♣ K♠ 7♠ flop, Zheng check-calls for 200,000 and does so again for 500,000 on the 2♥ turn.

Zheng checks the 4♣ river and Yong bets 1,200,000. The call by Zheng follows and Yong says "good call" before showing his Q♠ J♣ for a missed straight draw.

Zheng claims the pot with the A♠ T♠ and takes over the lead.

Cards are in the air at the WPT Cambodia Championship Event S24! The final six players are in their seats and sometime today, one of them will emerge as the newest champion and will have his victory commemorated on the iconic Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.

They will play one hand with blinds at 50,000-75.000 big blind ante 75,000 then it increases to 50,000-100,000 big blind ante 100,000 for 90 minutes.

After five days, the stage is set for a crowning moment at the WPT Cambodia Championship Season 24, where a new name will be etched onto the legendary Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup. The iconic trophy has stood watch in the Grand Ballroom of NagaWorld since the festival’s opening days nearly three weeks ago, and today, it will finally find its champion.

From a starting field of 425 entries, the WPT Cambodia Championship Event is down to just six contenders. Each one returns with a solid shot at the title and a permanent place in WPT history as the final day takes center stage in Phnom Penh.
