No help for Shih - 3rd place finisher of last KPCs Jeju Cup for $18K - on Q♦ Q♣ 8♥ 6♣ 5♣ and one of the most aggressive players on the final table leaves the field.

Hand #44: Button Baofeng Zhang raises to 245,000 and big blind Weiwi Tang defends to see the flop 2♣ 9♦ J♥ where Zhang's 180,000 continuation does the trick.

Hand #45: Under the gun Zhang makes it 245,000 again and big blind King Lun Shih fills up for the flop K♠ T♠ 6♣ to hit the felt. Zhang's 200,000 c-bet gets called, the turn T♥ is checked to the 2♠ river and another 225,000 from Zhang goes unanswered.

Hand #46: Small blind Shih takes back some with a 1,600,000 jam and Zhang lets it go.

Hand #38: Small blind King Lun Shih pushes Baofeng Zhang off of his big blind with a 260,000 raise.

Hand #39: Button Shih opens 240,000 and big blind Zong Chi He defends to see the flop 6♥ 7♣ A♥ that has He call a 225,000 c-bet before the 3♥ turn and J♥ river get checked down with He's 9♦ 7♥ winning over Shih's K♦ 9♠ .

Hand #31: King Lun Shih opens 200,000 from the button, but lets it go after small blind Baofeng Zhang upped it to 550,000.

Hand #32: Under the gun Shih puts out another 200,000 and takes both blinds to the 9♠ Q♥ Q♠ flop where his 225,000 continuation gets called by small blind Zong Chi He for a heads up turn 4♠ . A 350,000 second barrel is called again and the A♠ river gets checked with Shih's T♦ T♣ taking it down against He's K♦ 9♣ .

No miracle for Yao on 5♥ K♥ 7♦ 6♣ 7♥ and we are down to the last six players.

Hand #17: Under the gun Baofeng Zhang min-raises, small blind Qingshan Yao jams 170,000, big blind King Lun Shih calls and Zhang does the same. The board A♥ 7♦ 3♥ J♦ 5♥ receives a friendly check down from the two big stacks and Yao's Q♥ 5♣ is good enough against Zhang's Q♠ 8♠ and Shih's 6♠ 3♦ .

Another beat graces the table on 8♠ J♣ 4♠ 3♠ K♦ , keeping He alive and stopping Shih's rise.

Lights out for Yang on Q♥ A♣ Q♠ 4♥ 3♠ and Shih continues his ascent.

Another beat gets dealt on the board Q♦ 5♥ 8♦ Q♣ 7♦ and Shih chips up once more.

Hand #1: First to act King Lun Shih opens 100,000 and big blind Haoran Yang defends to see the flop Q♥ K♠ 6♦ where Shih's 80,000 c-bet gets the job done.

Baofeng Zhang is absolutely in control, but Zong Chi He has position on him and is arguably the strongest player left in the field. This makes for a great Final 9 with lots of interesting hands to come!

Under the gun King Lun Shih opens 80,000 and calls after Baofeng Zhang increased the fee to 200,000 from the button to see the 8♥ K♣ 6♣ flop. Shih check calls a 150,000 c-bet, the turn 7♣ hits the felt and a 350,000 second barrel from Zhang is enough to make Shih fold, who loses two time banks in the process.

Baofeng Zhang is still ahead on table 32 and Peng Deng Dominates table 33.

With the board 4♦ 6♣ Q♥ 8♥ 4♣ running all blanks, Shih stays ahead, collects a bounty ticket and more than doubles up just before getting to the last two tables.

Things are looking grim for short stack Gao when the dealer flips over J♣ A♥ T♥ 2♠ but a miracle T♦ on the river grants him a triple up and leaves Huan Wen on life support.

Shih's kicker stays in play on 7♠ A♠ K♣ T♣ 3♥ for a clean double up.
