With 24 out of the 187 entries left standing and the guaranteed prize pool of KRW 180 Million already shattered at the beginning of Flight B being close to KRW 300 Million right now and Flight C not even started yet we can be sure this was the beginning of a record breaking event.

China's Qingshan Yao ran away with the lead after a flurry of knockouts towards the end, but was one of the big stacks right after late registration closed. His heavenly ascent was aided by a double elimination with A♣ Q♦ against Yan Zhang's K♠ J♦ and Chen-yu Sung's 9♠ 9♣ with an ace hitting on the turn followed by the knockout of Hung Yu when he dominated with ace-queen against king-queen and added another 14 BBs at the start of the last level by hitting two pair with J♣ T♣ against Shanghao Xie's snowmen. Dominating his opponents, constantly chipping up in between knockouts he then wrapped up the day by making Renyi Wang the bubble boy after hitting a straight with J♥ 6♣ against A♣ J♣ that made him bag a whopping 574,000 (96 BB).

Second in chips Wei Ting Ye takes 399,000 (66 BB) to tomorrow's Day 2 Final, closely followed by Wei Hong with 375,000 (63 BB).
