Dong settles for a runner up finish and PHP 1,933,690 in winnings.

Shoving his 13 BB stack through, Edgar Asehan on the small blind was at risk after Ong Dingxiang called on the big blind with 3c3d. Asehan tabled two overcards Jh9c, none of which came on a board of 4c10dAd2h8h. Ong is boosted to 12.1 Million while Asehan leaves the final table arena with an impressive third place finish.

Action began with Ong Dingxiang moving all-in on the button for a total of 4.6 Million. Edgar Asehan on the big blind, made the call with AhKh and was in for a flip against Ong’s 2s2d. The board showed Ks9d2h3c10h and Ong claimed the pot with his set deuces. Asehan’s stack diminishes to 1.3 Million.

Shortly after, the two found themselves in for another all-in preflop situation. This time dominating Ong’s Qh8c with Qs10h, Asehan raked in a 2.9 Million, keeping him in the game.

Facing an open from Ong Dingxiang on the button to 500,000, Zhilian Dong jammed all-in from the small blind for a total of 2.9 Million. Ong made the call with Ad8c ahead against Dong’s QhJd. The board 4s5s4hQs8d however, ran in favor of Dong for a full double up.

Dong survives with 6.4 Million in chips.

Facing a button open from Ong Dingxiang, Edgar Asehan moved all-in from the big blind for 3.675 Million in total. Ong makes the call with AhQd, up against Asehan’s Ks2d. Asehan’s run good continues on as the board opened 9s5c6d10c2h, giving him bottom pair enough to beat Ong’s ace high.

Edgar Asehan rises to 7.65 Million chips, knocking Ong Dingxiang down to 4.5 Million.

They say third time’s the charm and for Ong Dingxiang that statement remains on point. On their third battle, Acain Henrieto Bonachita risked his chance at the trophy after moving all-in with 10s7s on the turn for a straight draw. The board 2s6c8d4h was enough for Ong to call off with mid pair Qd6h. The Ah sealed the win for Ong as he surges to 8.2 Million in chips. Acain settles for a 4th place finish and a burly payout following the ICM deal.

Ong throws his cards in the muck and drops down to 1.1 Million in chips.

All three players checked the flop 2d8cJc. Turn came a 6d and Ong led out a 460,000 bet, called by both players behind. A Jh completes the runout – Ong with a check and Dong pushing a 1.2 Million bet. Both players muck, boosting Dong’s stack to over 5 Million in chips.

After losing the previous hand, Lloyd Locsin was left with 10 BB to work with, and with the blinds and ante on the heavy, Locsin decided to call off an all-in with QsJd on the big blind. Acain Henrieto Bonachita on the small blind, was ahead with Ks4c and remained that way as the board tabled 3d9d3c4d2c.

Locsin busts in 5th place while Acain surges to 6 Million in chips.

With steals evident left and right, Lloyd Locsin was undoubtedly exposed after he raised all-in from the small blind with 2s6d. Edgar Asehan on the big blind, was happy to risk his 11 BB stack with 10d10c. The board ran 2h9dQh8cAc, giving Asehan a quick double up to 3.8 Million in chips. Locsin takes the loss and drops to 1.6 Million.

Folded to him on the button, Final Day chip leader Hyung Kim Tae moved all-in with his 10 BB stack, called by Ong Dingxiang on the big blind. Hyung was at risk with his Qs10d being the underdog against Ong’s monster KcKd. Hyung hit top pair on a flop of 10s7h2s but failed to pull out his five remaining outs as the Jh6d completed the board. Ong takes down the pot, leaving Hyung to bank PHP 703,000 for his deep run.


20:23: Lloyd Locsin surrenders to three-bet

With no open beforehand, Acain Henrieto Bonachita limped in his small blind and was met with a raise to 490,000 from Lloyd Locsin. Acain answered back with an even bigger raise to 870,000. Locsin surrenders the preflop battle and takes his 2 Million to fight another day.

Local runner Edgar Asehan is riding out his luck as he yet again, escapes a potential elimination. Starting with an open from Hyung Kim Tae on the cut-off, Asehan on the button slammed his remaining 970,000 in. Hyung made the call and the board tabled As9s10d9h3s.

Dong raised all-in as the original raiser folded. The board 7d6sQs3d7s tabled no Ace, eliminating Enriquez in 7th place finish.

Edgar Asehan’s less than 12 BB stack was seen in the middle after a preflop all-in situation blind vs blind. Bigger stacked Hyung Kim Tae on the small blind was ahead with Ah2d against his opponent’s KsQh but the board ran 8h4s8sJcQd. The lucky river was enough to save Asehan from elimination as he raked in the 2.3 Million pot away from Hyung.

After losing several small pots, tables turned for Hyung Kim Tae as he opened on the button and Ong Dingxiang called on the big blind. Flop came Kc4dJh and Ong proceeded to check-call a 185,000 bet from the Korean. The turn Ac urged Hyung to fire 250,000, pushing Ong to fold behind.

Final day chip leader Hyung Kim Tae on the big blind once again defended against a late position open by Ong Dingxiang. The flop arrived Js9sAd as to which both players checked. On the turn 2h, Hyung led out a 125,000 bet, called by the raiser. The river 10c slowed things down for Hyung as he check-folded a 225,000 bet from Ong.

Ong Dingxiang is awarded the pot and stacks 2.6 Million high.

Aggressive Hyung double barreled another time on the turn 10c and was check-called by Dong on two streets. River came a 6d and Hyung opted not to pull the trigger. Dong turns Qs9s face up for a rivered straight followed by a muck from Hyung.

Dong snags the win and sits atop with 4.3 Million in chips.

Another late position open, Ong Dingxiang raised to 160,000, called by Hyung Kim Tae on the big blind. The flop came Ac9h8h and Hyung check-called Ong’s 150,000 bet. Turn came a 5h and both players checked round. A Jc completed the board and Hyung check-called 340,000 but mucked his hand after Ong revealed 7c10c for a rivered nut straight.

Ong Dingxiang climbs to 2.3 Million while Hyung Kim Tae’s stack declines to 3.1 Million.

Park showed AdQh in trouble against Enriquez’ KsKd. The board 8c2cKc6d2h was of no help for Park as he headed for the rails in 8th place.

Folded to Ong Dingxiang on the lo-jack, he opened to 120,000 with both Acain Henrieto Bonachita and Lloyd Locsin on the blinds coming along. The flop came Qc2c7s and action checked to Ong who sent out a bet 140,000. Only Locsin made the call and the two saw a turn of 4h. Check-check, the Ac completed the board and Locsin decided to check-call Ong’s 285,000 bet. Ong shows 2s3s, not enough to beat Locsin’s pair sevens with Ks7d.

The hand started with an open from Hyung Kim Tae from the lo-jack to 95,000. Zhilian Dong defended his big blind and proceeded to check-call the 7d5h9h. The turn Ks followed, and Zhilian once again check-called Hyung’s now heftier bet. River fell a 6h with both players checking behind. Zhilian tables 4h7h for a flush and scoops up the pot.

Zhilian Dong climbs to 2.6 Million in chips.


14:32: Acain Henrieto Bonachita recovers

Following his huge swing from the previous level, Acain Henrieto Bonachita jumped the gun and shoved his 570,000 in with 7h7c. Ong Dingxiang on the hi-jack found the call, revealing premium AcKc. The flop JhKs2c left Acain drawing thin but the turn 7s changed it entirely. Ong is left drawing dead and Acain claims a full double up.

Acain Henrieto Bonachita bounces back to 1.24 Million in chips.


14:28: Hyung Kim Tae double barrels through

A strong open from under the gun, Vamerdino Magsakay was up against Hyung Kim Tae and the big blind as both called his raise behind. The flop showed 2dKdKh and Magsakay continued with a bet of 110,000. Hyung called once again and the big blind folded. A 4d came up on the turn and Magsakay checks give up after Hyung sent out a 220,000 bet.

Vamerdino Magsakay drops to 1.3 Million.


14:23: Back to back preflop action for Edgar Asehan

Folded to Edgar Asehan on the cut-off, the local player opened 2.5 BB off of his 22 BB stack only to be met with a three-bet from Ong Dingxiang on the small blind to over 5 BB more. Asehan gives up the battle and decides to muck.

Edgar Asehan drops down to 775,000 as Ong Dingxiang reaches the 2 Million mark.

Two minutes later, Asehan finds his entire stack in the middle against chip leader Hyung Kim Tae’s late position open. Hyung makes the fold and Asehan recovers to 970,000.

Folded to Kim Enriquez on the hi-jack, he opened to 65,000 and was called by Hyung Kim Tae on the button with the big blind coming along as well. The flop showed AhKcQh and Enriquez fired a bet of 95,000. Hyung called while the big blind folded. Turn came a 6d and Enriquez led out another 250,000 bet. Hyung throws his hand in and Enriquez claims the pot.

Kim Enriquez boosts to 2.7 Million, Hyung Kim Tae remains to sit with 4 Million in chips.


13:59: Ong Dingxiang takes down pot

Starting with an early open from Ong Dingxiang, Lloyd Locsin defended his big blind and saw an all heart flop of 8h9hAh. Locsin checked and Ong fired a one-third pot bet of 55,000. Locsin makes the call and another 2h shows up on the turn. Both players checked, moving on to the river Qs. Locsin led out 70,000 and was immediately called by Ong. Locsin revealed no heart As7c as his opponent took down the pot 8d8c for a set.

Ong Dingxiang rises to 1.8 Million in chips.

Riding his momentum, Acain Henrieto Bonachita pushed his 10 BB stack in the middle with AhQd after facing an early open from Edgar Asehan. Asehan makes the call and reveals Ac8c for an underdog. The board QhQc10cJdAs hit both players’ hands but the river sealed the win for Acain.

Acain Henrieto Bonachita gains more chips to 655,000 as Edgar Asehan drops down to 1.15 Million.

Crippled by the previous hand, Acain Henrieto Bonachita opened the button with 9h9c to 75,000 leaving himself 10,000 behind. Both blinds made the call and the three saw a flop of KdJd10s. Small blind checked and Hyung Kim Tae on the big blind led out a 30,000 bet. Acain put in his remaining 0.3 BB and the small blind folded behind. Hyung tables 6d7d for a flush draw and bricks the turn and river.

From an advertised guaranteed pot of PHP 5,000,000 (~USD 91,000),  the generated prize pool has grown over three times in value amounting to a massive PHP 17,171,930 (~USD 312,705).
