Alexandros Theologis is a Greek professional poker player and one of the most respected names in the game. He first built his reputation in the highly competitive online MTT (Multi-Table Tournament) scene, where he proved himself against some of the toughest players in the world. Over time, he successfully moved into live high-stakes tournaments and became a regular winner at the highest levels. He is currently ranked #2 on Greece’s all-time money list and often competes in top events such as the Triton Poker Series, where he plays against elite international professionals.
Career Earnings & Biggest Results
With total live tournament earnings of nearly $6 million (according to The Hendon Mob), Theologis is a mainstay in the world’s most exclusive tournaments. His career-best live score came in 2025 at the EPT Malta, where he navigated the field to claim the title in the EPT Super High Roller event for a massive $911,579 payout.
While impressive, the highest prize he earned was from the WSOP online 2021 at GGPoker , where he took home $1,212,033 with his victory in the Super High Roller Championship Online event.

Biography & Poker Background
Hailing from Greece, Theologis represents the new school of poker professionals who built their skills through intense study and high-volume online play. Known by his legendary online handle “Pwndidi,” he spent years destroying the highest-stakes online tournaments, amassing millions in cashes across major platforms. This digital pedigree gave him the theoretical foundation needed to compete against the “end bosses” of the live circuit. While many players struggle with the transition from the screen to the felt, Alexandros adapted instantly, quickly becoming a fixture at the European Poker Tour (EPT) and eventually the Triton nosebleed stakes, where he is now recognized as one of the most dangerous opponents in the field.
Play Style & Strategy
Theologis is highly respected for his elite GTO-based approach and his ability to remain composed under immense pressure. He is a No Limit Hold’em specialist who excels in the mathematical complexities of high-roller tournament structures. Unlike the older generation of “feel” players, Alexandros utilizes a highly disciplined, theoretical strategy that makes him incredibly difficult to exploit. His peers often cite his work ethic and his ability to break down complex ranges in real-time as his greatest strengths. Whether playing a $1,000 local event or a $100,000 Super High Roller, his process remains identical: clinical, precise, and focused.

Video Highlights:
My relationship with cards started thanks to my father. I was still in elementary school when he first taught me how to play Rummy, and I still remember the long evenings spent playing cards with my family. During the poker boom, I was still underage, but the televised tournaments immediately captured my attention. I became fascinated with the game and started learning different poker formats whenever I had the chance. Later in life, as an adult, I was fortunate enough to spend four years playing poker professionally. During that time, I mainly focused on Heads-Up Sit and Go games, where I found the format that suited me best. Even though my professional career was relatively short, poker remains something I’m grateful to have experienced as a major part of my life. Today, I play mostly as a hobby, while writing has become my main focus. That said, my enthusiasm for writing about poker is just as strong as my passion for playing the game once was.
