With over 100 tournament credits, Filipino poker player Jonald Garcia is one of the most prolific players in the country. His career dates back to 2014 but picked up in 2017 when he became a regular attendee at the Manila Megastack series, PokerStars LIVE Manila, and RVS Cup.
Garcia has dozens of victories under his belt, including a memorable third-place win in the Main Event at APT Philippines 2022 (PHP 2,278,100 or USD 39,712), a first-place win in the Kickoff Event at the Manila Megastack 16 (PHP 1,020,000 or USD 18,547), and a third-place win in the Main Event at the Manila Megastack 17 (PHP 2,090,000 or USD 37,785).
However, Garcia secured his title of Philippine poker royalty when he emerged victorious at the Championship Warm-Up Event #3 at the WPT Cambodia Championship, cashing a massive PHP 55,989.
Following his Cambodian victory, Garcia ventured into Taipei, where he enjoyed a deep run at APT Taipei, cashing NTD 470,000 (USD 14,901). Later in the year, Garcia made his Vietnam debut, placing first in the High Roller Mega Stack at the Royal Poker High Roller Series (cashing VND 500,870,000 or USD 20,082) and Mini High Roller event at VIPT Hanoi (cashing VND 200,300,000 or USD 7,899).
To date, Garcia has total live earnings of USD 341,359 and is 22nd on the Philippines’ All-Time Money List.
