The focus now shifts to Day 1B of the Red Dragon Plus Championship, which kicks off today at 12:00 PM local time. More players will look to join the 78 survivors already through to Day 2 as the hunt continues for a share of the KRW 1,800,000,000 guarantee.
Xixiang Luo Runs Hot To Claim Red Dragon Prestige High Roller Title

China’s Xixiang Luo put on a dominant performance at RDPT Plus Jeju 2026, outlasting a 157-entry field to capture the Red Dragon Prestige High Roller title. Luo walked away with the trophy and the KRW 276,483,300 (~USD 186,145) top prize after eliminating multiple opponents at the final table on his way to victory.
Final Day Action

Twelve players returned for the final day, with John Perry and Christian Harder sitting at the top of the counts. The opening levels moved fast, with Patrik Demus quickly becoming the one to watch after turning a set to take a massive lead. However, the momentum shifted entirely toward Luo after he busted Martin Nielsen on the final table bubble, and from there, he maintained total control of the table.
Final Table Highlights

Players were hitting the exit one after another as Luo’s chip lead just kept getting bigger. Zhuzhai Wang was the first to exit in ninth place after running his pocket fours into Luo’s sixes, and Peng Deng soon followed in eighth place when his ace-ten could not flip past Luo’s pocket nines. Demus eventually saw his run end in seventh place, followed by Xue Song in sixth. Estonian pro Ranno Sootla stayed patient, grinding a short stack and surviving multiple all-ins before eventually finishing in fifth place.

Nguyen Le put in a strong performance but ultimately ended his run in fourth place after his jack-nine could not catch up to Perry’s queen-ten. With three players remaining, Harder saw his king-jack outdrawn when Luo spiked a nine on the river to take the lead, sending the American to the rail in third place.
Heads-Up: Bad Beat For Perry

Luo started heads-up with a massive 4-to-1 chip lead, but Perry was not going to give it up easily. The Australian picked up some chips in the early pots, and it briefly looked like the heads-up could go longer, before a crucial bad beat ended his comeback.

The end came in a total heartbreaker for Perry. After he three-bet to 4,500,000, Perry snap-called Luo’s shove and was in the perfect spot to double up with ace-king against Luo’s ace-eight. Perry was way ahead, but an eight spiked right in the window to give Luo the lead. The turn and river were no help, ending Perry’s run in second place. With that, Luo secured the victory and added the Red Dragon trophy to his collection.
Jieming Xu Tops Red Dragon Plus Championship Day 1A

Day 1A of the Red Dragon Plus Championship, featuring a KRW 1.8 billion guarantee, drew a field of 243 entries by the end of day, with just 78 players advancing to Day 2 after ten levels of play. Leading the way is China’s Jieming Xu , who bagged 959,000 (320 big blinds) and stood as the only player to break the 900,000 mark, putting clear distance between himself and the rest of the field.
Fellow countryman Qiang Wang follows in second with 716,000 (239 big blinds), while Jingjing Li rounds out the top three after finishing the day with 638,000 (213 big blinds). Notably, the entire top ten chip counts from Day 1A are made up of Chinese players, highlighting a strong showing from the contingent early in the tournament.
With the opening flight in the books, attention now shifts to Day 1B, which gets underway today at 12:00 local time, where another wave of players will look to secure their place in Day 2
