How the Final Flights Unfolded

Across the seven starting flights, the guarantee was smashed early, as the PHP 6,000,000 GTD was officially broken during Day 1C, with the prize pool continuing to climb through the final flights. Day 1C saw Reynaldo Ong lead 47 survivors with 540,000, while the evening Day 1D was topped by Japan’s Mitsuki Tomozawa with 576,000. Day 1E drew the largest single flight of the series with 498 entries, led by Christopher Pasion with 586,000. Day 1F produced one of the tightest top threes of the series, with Japan’s Akihiro Kawaguchi (620,000), the Philippines’ Joshua Figuerres (618,000) and Indonesia’s Jackson Jackson (616,000) separated by just 4,000 chips. The turbo final flight, Day 1G, was headlined by Magsakay’s 792,000 stack.
Day 1E: One-Outer Quads and a Single-Chip Survivor
Day 1E drew the largest single flight of the series with 498 entries, and it delivered some of the most dramatic moments of the entire festival. Early on, Arnel Casquejo woke up with pocket aces in a five-bet pot to send Ryosuke Nakano back to the registration desk in just the second hand of the flight.
The standout hand of the day, arguably of the entire series, came when Shohei Nakazato flopped a set of aces only to be cracked by Taegyu Lee‘s one-outer on the river, Lee spiking quads to leave the table stunned.

The bubble produced its own share of drama, with several short stacks exchanging doubles in quick succession before Summer Fulmer drew the short straw, her king-deuce unable to improve against pocket fours to end her run as the sole bubble player.
Among the notable survivors, Jeffrey Aleta bagged a single 1,000 chip to advance to Day 2, while Singaporean Gilson Chan, who bubbled Day 1C , bounced back to bag 174,000 and secure a payout.
Martijn Boerenbrink Secured the Super Stack Turbo Freezeout Title
The Netherlands’ Martijn Boerenbrink won Event #38, the Super Stack Turbo Freezeout, for PHP 99,084 (~USD 1,610) from a field of 88 entries. Japan’s Ryo Yuki finished as runner-up for PHP 66,000 (~USD 1,070), with the Philippines’ Ellezer Castillo taking third for PHP 44,000 (~USD 715).
