My journey in the world of poker (and later casino, sportsbetting) started more than 20 years ago, when I first attended a low-stakes live tournament. I’ve never looked back since, and have been active in several fields, including being a poker player, a live tournament director, writing online and offline articles about poker, and managing the localization of one of the world's largest online poker rooms. Poker is my home ground, I could never imagine doing a job that is not a part of it. I hope someday I’ll have more time to play live; that's something I've missed in the past few years. A game where luck meets skill - what would be more interesting?

A New Era Brings the WSOP on ESPN

The era of the World Series of Poker on PokerGO and CBS Sports Network has officially ended. Following GGPoker ‘s massive $500 million acquisition of the brand from Caesars Entertainment in 2024, the broadcast rights have returned to a very familiar home. Fans will be thrilled to see the WSOP on ESPN once again, just like during the golden age of the early 2000s!

The iconic $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Main Event kicks off on July 2 at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Pre-final table action will be broadcast daily on the ESPN App, which costs $29.99 per month. However, the final table itself will be totally free for anyone with ESPN or ESPN2 cable.

For the first time since 2016, the Main Event is taking a mid-tournament break. Players will battle down to the final table on July 13, and the survivors will return on August 3 for a thrilling three-day conclusion. If you love watching the WSOP on ESPN, you will also enjoy the four condensed, edited episodes airing between July 13 and August 3.

Enjoying the 2026 WSOP Livestream for Daily Events

What about the rest of the massive 51-day summer schedule? ESPN is only covering the Main Event, but the remaining 99 bracelet tournaments are completely accessible online. If you want to watch the WSOP for free, this is where the new broadcasting plan truly shines.

Starting May 26, daily coverage of these non-Main Event tournaments will be broadcast across several popular digital platforms. You can easily find the 2026 WSOP livestream on the official WSOP YouTube channel. It will also be simulcast on their Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Twitch accounts.

Giving fans 51 straight days of free poker content is a huge win for the community. The WSOP YouTube channel is expected to be the most popular hub for fans looking to tune in seamlessly from their smart TVs and phones. It has truly never been easier to watch the WSOP for free on your preferred devices.

This year, the livestreaming stage has moved from the Horseshoe to the elegant Paris Ballroom. Feature tables will be set up right in the heart of the action in Paris throughout the summer. This setup ensures that viewers get a front-row seat to the best poker action in the world.

Familiar Voices in the Broadcast Booth

A poker broadcast is only as good as its commentators, and this year’s lineup is packed with fan favorites. For the televised Main Event on ESPN, the legendary duo of Lon McEachern and Norman Chad will return for their 24th consecutive year. They remain the undisputed voices of the WSOP on ESPN.
