2021 WSOP Online [International]: Vincas Tamasauskas wins career first bracelet at the $5K Pot Limit Omaha Championship

Another Natural8 player minted at the 2021 World Series of Poker Online [International] as Lithuania’s Vincas “seimininkas” Tamasauskas came out victorious at the WSOP #13: $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship to capture his first ever WSOP title and gold bracelet. Tamasauskas became the third player from his country to win the gold and the third player in this series to win an N8 Team Bling US$ 10,000 Sponsorship package, joining champions Joao Simao and Eduardo Augusto Pires. The international bracelet series is ongoing at online platform Natural8 [GG Network] with games running from August 1 until September 12. The lucrative festival features US$ 53+ Million in guaranteed prize pools. To date, over US$ 30.9 Million has been paid out with 10 out of 13 completed events pulling in seven figures. 20 gold bracelets are still up for grabs. WSOP #13: $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship – Vincas “seimininkas” Tamasauskas – US$ 268,926

The two day WSOP #13: $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship event attracted 267 entries (158 uniques, 109 re-entries) to generate another seven digit series prize pool. 39 players earned a cut of the US$ 1,268,250. The bracelet hunt concluded with Lithuania’s Vincas “seimininkas” Tamasauskas locking up his first ever dream gold and a hefty six figure US$ 268,926 payout. As a Natural8 player, Tamasauskas also won a Team Bling US$ 10,000 Sponsorship package. He moved up to top rank in the exclusive N8 WSOP Amazing Race leaderboard Rest of World (ROW) category.

Prior to this victory, Tamasauskas had collected US$ 603K across 20 WSOP cashes since 2017. To date, his largest score was at the 2019 WSOP $1,500 Millionaire Maker event in Las Vegas, placing 4th for 464,375.

Recapping the event, Day 1 wrapped up in just under eight hours with the final seven established and numerous notable players turning a profit namely, Simon Klas Lofberg (10th), Joao Simao (12th), Daniel Negreanu (19th), Michael Watson (20th), Niklas Astedt (21st), Paul Teoh (28th), Nicolo Molinelli (30th), and Hok Yiu Lee (32nd).

The final table was another all international mix with every player flying a different flag. Among them were two Natural8 players Vincas “seimininkas” Tamasauskas (Lithuania) and Australia’s David “MPEW299” Wang. Also through was Austria’s Florian “Holdemking17” Fuchs who finished 2nd at the 2017 WSOPE COLOSSUS event, and USA’s Hernando “dardusss” Guzman who carried in the biggest stack. With no WSOP decorated player in the lineup, one player was destined to turn the golden dream into reality.

The first hour of play witnessed plenty of action with Tamasauskas and Benjamin Wilinofsky taking turns at the top while ailing Wang quadrupled his short stack to stay in the running. Hungary’s Benjamin Lakatos plunged to 6 bb then recovered on a double up off Florian “Holdemking17” Fuchs. For the day’s entering chip leader Guzman, he got into a heated pot against Wilinofsky that sent him crashing out. On a raised pot preflop, the cards came . Guzman check-shoved his huge 36 bb stack with top pair, got snap called by Wilinofsky with two pair, the turn and river further improved Wilinofsky to a boat to collect the massive pile and oust Guzman in 7th place.

Leading up to the next bust, Wilinofsky lost three all in showdowns with Lakatos scooping up two to earn his time at the top. Lakatos proceeded to rail Fuchs in 6th place then Wilinofsky finished off Wang right after. At four handed, Tamasauskas dragged in a big pot against Lakatos while Wilinofsky plunged after paying a double up to Fernando “JNandez87” Habegger and losing more to Lakatos. He dropped to 3.5 bb which Lakatos claimed.

Three handed play was fully dominated by Tamasauskas who grinded to chip lead and never relinquished. He eliminated Habegger in 3rd place to bring in 84 bb to heads up to Lakatos’27 bb. It took less than ten minutes to close it out. On a board , Lakatos jammed with straight, Tamasauskas had full house to ship it and win his first ever WSOP title and gold bracelet.
