Ilia Barkov opened 120,000 utg and was joined by Peter Kiem and Ahmed Abdellatif behind.

Action on flop A♥ K♦ J♠ checked round to turn 7♦ , where Barkov led 80,000. Abdellatif called on the button and arrived at showdown shortly after river 3♣ welcomed no more bets.

Barkov showed pair of kings K♣ Q♠ and picked up the pot.

Rui Bouquet opened on the hijack for 100,000, called by Jason Lau on the button. Nadav Cohen on the big blind, bumped it up to 325,000 and saw both continue to flop 7♠ 2♠ 6♥ . Cohen checked, and Bouquet bet 210,000, leaving both opponents in quick surrender.

With 480,000 already in the middle across board 8♦ K♥ 4♠ K♦ 5♥ , Hyunkyou Park on the big blind, fired a 1600,000 donkbet on the river and faced a raise from Ahmed Abdellatif to 640,000. Park took a minute and eventually found the call with two pair J♠ J♣ , exposing Abdellatif's bluff T♦ 9♦ as he raked in the pot.

Peter Kiem risked his last 680,000 (13 BB) on the big blind and faced button raiser Chak Hei Chan for a race.

Erik Rozhynskyi defended his big blind against Jason Lau's 100,000 hijack open, and check called another 100,000 on flop 4♣ T♠ A♥ . On turn 7♥ , Lau continued with an all-in, and Rozhynskyi check called a second time for his last 350,000.

Park at risk, cruised to victory on board K♦ Q♠ 6♥ K♣ 9♥ , leaving Do drawing dead by the turn.

Xianling Chen flicked in his last 275,000 (7 BB) on the big blind and was challenged by initial raiser Ahmed Abdellatif.

Chen a favorite to win, was crushed to see Abdellatif spike his two outer on board 8♠ 6♠ J♥ K♦ T♦ , marking the end of the last female contender's hopes for the title.

Koller in trouble, failed to escape his demise as board 6♥ 7♥ 8♠ A♦ 6♠ left him behind on all streets.

Ilia Barkov opened utg and Bobby Zhang defended his big blind.

On flop 7♠ 3♥ 5♣ , Zhang check called another 80,000 and went ahead to lead 150,000 on turn 8♣ . Barkov found no reason to continue and got out of the way.

Peter Kiem opened utg and called off Hyunkyou Park's short stack all-in for 240,000 (6 BB).

Running a flip, Park's pocket pair held on board Q♥ J♠ 4♣ 2♥ 6♠ , earning him the much needed double up.

Fabian Rolli opened 80,000 early position and flicked in 35,000 more after Ran Koller moved all-in on the big blind.

Koller in rough shape, was in luck to run a wheel straight on board 4♠ 9♠ 2♦ J♠ 5♦ , avoiding a potential elimination.

Right on the next hand, Leo Soma lost another showdown after calling off Nadav Cohen's button all-in for 570,000 (19 BB).

Cohen flopped a boat straight away on board J♦ A♥ A♠ K♦ 4♦ , leaving Soma to shell out more chips.

On flop A♥ J♥ 7♥ , Soma continued small, check raised by Rozhynskyi to 75,000. Soma responded with an all-in, and Rozhynskyi called off for his 225,000 behind.

Andrew Lunde committed his remaining chips with pocket queens and ran smack into Jason Lau's pocket aces. No surprises came on board, leaving Lunde out in 19th place finish and Lau surging to the top of the counts.

Chak Hei Chan opened on the cutoff and called for his tournament life - 400,000 (13 BB) after Hyunkyou Park moved all-in on the small blind.

Park dominated, forked over a chunk of his stack as board J♣ Q♥ 3♦ T♥ 4♦ ran the nut straight for his opponent.

With a pot of 960,000 already spread out on board 7♣ K♦ J♣ K♥ Q♣ , blind vs blind action saw Chak Hei Chan bluff all-in with A♠ 3♣ in a final attempt to take it down. Fabian Rolli check called for his remaining 530,000 and set up the trap perfectly for his nut straight A♣ T♦ and collect in full.

Erik Rozhynskyi defended his big blind vs Travis Endersby's 60,000 button open, and check called another 65,000 on flop 8♠ K♥ 6♦ . Both checked turn 9♠ through to river T♥ , where Endersby gunned for a final 250,000. Rozhynskyi took a minute and eventually found the call, yet mucked as Endersby revealed two pair K♠ T♣ .

Ahmed Abdellatif defended his big blind against Ran Koller's 60,000 button open and went to battle on flop 6♥ 4♠ 2♣ .

Action checked round to turn 4♥ , where Abdellatif led for 75,000. Koller tank called behind, and paid a final 100,000 on river J♠ , only to muck as Abdellatif tabled two pair 9♠ 6♠ .

Andrew Lunde opened on the cutoff and was priced in to call Rahul Melwant's all-in behind for 145,000 (5 BB).

Melwant in dire need to catch another double, instead headed out as board 3♦ 7♠ A♣ K♥ K♦ sent his pocket pair flying towards the muck.

Up against an early open and a call, Fabian Rolli sent out a 165,000 three bet on the button and saw initial raiser Hyunkyou Park complete.

On flop K♥ 8♥ 3♥ , Park tank called his opponent's 60,000 continuation bet, but was left unable to continue after Rolli fired another 140,000 on turn 9♠ .

Down short having lost a flip just a few hands prior, Rahul Melwant flicked in his last 70,000 (3 BB) on the small blind and was up against button raiser Ilia Barkov.

Board 3♣ 8♥ 7♦ K♦ 3♠ landed Melwant two pair, keeping him in the Mini Championship running.

Ran Koller opened early position and snap called Fabian Rolli's button all-in for 335,000 (13 BB).

On board A♥ 9♦ 3♠ K♠ 6♥ , Soma triple barreled - 45,000, 175,000, and a final 450,000, with Travis Endersby on the small blind, check calling all three streets.

Soma showed top pair A♦ Q♦ and locked in the win as well as the overall lead.

Rahul Melwant open shoved 265,000 (10 BB) on the button and saw Hao Wu commit his short stack as well on the small blind.

Up for a flip, Wu's overcards locked in the win this time on board K♦ 9♥ T♣ 6♠ 6♥ , leaving Melwant with a chip and a chair.

Daniel Lengyel open raised all-in for 385,000 (15 BB) on the hijack and saw Ilia Barkov on the button rise to the challenge.

Lengyel in search of an ace, found none on board K♠ 7♠ 7♣ T♣ K♦ , sending him out of the Day 2 games.

Facing a late position open and a call, Travis Endersby fired a raise to 240,000 on the small blind and saw initial raiser David Kozma come back with an all-in for 485,000 (19 BB) total. Endersby put out the rest and found himself up against Kozma's nutted pair.

Fortunately for Endersby, the window card showed a Q♠ with no aces appearing on runout 4♦ 5♠ 3♦ J♥ to ship him the win and knock his opponent out.

Francesco Vasquez open raised all-in utg and saw Andrew Lunde on the button, call off for his last 200,000 (8 BB).

In for a flip, board 9♠ Q♥ J♠ 5♥ steered clear of Lunde's overcards, up until the river T♠ landed the Canadian the nut straight to bank the win. Vasquez survived the damage but will need a miracle to turn it around with one big blind left.

With the action folded to the blinds, Ahmed Abdellatif kicked off with an open to 60,000. Fabian Rolli bumped it up to 165,000, yet shortly let it go as Abdellatif padded it further to 300,000.

Sreekanth Narayanan went with K♦ J♥ for his last 282,000 (14 BB) on the cutoff and was followed by another all-in from Ilia Barkov right behind.

Narayanan slightly behind, accepted his fate as board A♠ A♣ J♦ 2♣ K♣ left him drawing slim straight away.

Aliaksei Chernak open shoved 247,000 (12 BB) utg+1, called by Ran Koller behind. Bobby Zhang a seat after, reshoved, and Koller put the rest of his 618,000 (31 BB) stack in the middle.

Board Q♣ 4♦ 8♥ 5♣ 7♠ offered Koller a slam dunk win, boosting him high up the ranks while Chernak headed for the rails.

Both stacks rushed to the middle - Hao Wu at risk for his last 188,000 (9 BB) against Sreekanth Naranayan.

A cooler situation, Wu quickly bagged the double up as an ace high board A♣ 7♦ 2♠ K♣ 5♥ awarded him the win.

With a pot of 350,000 in the middle on board J♣ 7♠ T♠ 2♥ K♦ , Johan Lees made a final attempt for it with a bet of 240,000. Rosalie Petit gave it a thought and found a call with top pair K♣ Q♠ , only to shoot down as Lees turned over a set 7♦ 7♥ .

Jun Li defended his button open and called a 125,000 three bet from Leo Soma on the small blind.

On flop K♥ T♣ 3♦ , Li went for a check raise to 130,000, and Soma tank called, having already put 45,000 in the middle. Both checked turn 6♦ through to river Q♣ , where Soma finished with an all-in. Li quickly surrendered, saving his 13 big blinds behind.

Leo Schulhof reshoved his 154,000 (7 BB) on the big blind and was called by initial raiser Chak Hei Chan for a flip.

Chan found not one, but two pair on board J♦ K♣ 9♣ 4♦ T♠ , easily dusting his opponent.

Yeow Kian opened in early position and went on to four bet jam his entire 409,000 (20 BB) against Leo Soma's raise behind. Soma snap called with the best hand in the deck and sent Kian out shortly as board K♦ Q♣ J♣ 6♥ 8♦ left his aces ahead all the way.

A three way all-in saw Jason Lau cover both Shahin Norouzian (228,000) and Nikolai Guliaev (150,000) at showdown.

Whilst behind, Lau turned the tables and delivered the double bust as board 5♠ 9♠ Q♥ 7♠ 6♦ rolled him the nut flush to scoop it all.

Rui Bouquet sent out a 115,000 three bet on the button against an early open and was met with an all-in behind for 469,000 from Peter Kiem on the small blind. Bouquet called off with the ladies and found himself in terrible shape against Kiem's better pair.

Ran Koller opened utg and went on to fourbet jam against Yongjia Lin's raise behind. Lin snap called for his entire 356,000 (28 BB), putting his tournament life on the line.

Chan's aggression paid off as board J♦ 7♦ 2♥ 2♣ 9♥ steered clear of his opponents' overcards, leaving his pocket pair good for the double bust.

Hyunkyou Park opened mid position, raised by Ahmed Abdellatif to 90,000 on the button. Takayuki Koga on the big blind, squeezed all-in, and Park gladly obliged, pushing his 296,000 stack in the middle. Abdellatif on the other hand, opted out and open folded J♠ J♥ .

A dream spot for Park, his aces had no problems scooping up the pot as board K♠ 6♦ T♦ T♥ 3♦ ran on the felt.

On flop J♥ 3♦ 5♣ , Petit pulled a check raise to 55,000 after Kozma bet 16,000, and Kozma completed. Both checked turn Q♦ through to river 8♥ , where Petit gunned a final 60,000. Kozma surrendered, giving up the pot to his opponent.

Jason Lau opened utg and went on to four bet jam his entire 326,000 (27 BB) in against Nikolai Guliaev's raise behind. Guliaev made the call, risking a huge chunk of his stack.

While past season's WPT Cambodia champion Konstantin Held missed to defend his title across the Championship festivities, Held stands in prime position to run deep in today's highlight, having bagged the overall lead with 1,034,000 (86 BB) in chips. Japan's Suguru Sawada is another contender to watch with a healthy 959,000 (80 BB) stack in arm to kick off the Day 2 rounds.
