Buy in is ₫60,000,000 (~$2,445) with registration open until the start of Day 2. Players start with a stack of 300,000 with opening -1000 BB Ante. Blinds increase every 40 minutes. Bagging time at the end of Level 12.

Cheers heard at the Grand Hall with the bubble bursting at the High Roller event. The final 23 players are now in the money. The top prize is a whopping ₫2,234,000,000 (~$91,000).

High Roller Day 1 ran its scheduled 12 rounds of play. 155 entered with 69 players bagging up. They return on Sunday, October 23 at 2pm. Chip counts to follow.

Registration is still open but will close at the start of Day 2 so for those interested, make sure to register before that happens. The prize pool is currently at ₫8,658,300,000, creeping up to nearly three times the ₫3B guarantee.

Another 21 signed up for the High Roller for 173 entries total and a prize pool that bloated the guarantee three times over! The closing pot was a huge ₫9,607,920,000 (~$391,680). We will have the payouts up shortly. 76 players remaining. 

After just twenty minutes of heads up, Sin Ren Chen defeated fellow countryman, Chung Yi Ho with T♥ 9♣ spiking the ten on the flop to beat Chung’s 8♣ 8♦ . Chen shipped the ₫2,234,000,000 top prize and his second trophy of the series. He also won the PLO Turbo. Not too bad as well for runner up Chung who walked away with ₫1,514,000,000 (~$61,720).

Chin Wei Lim banks a double from Chung Yi Ho with T♣ T♠ standing firm against overcards A♣ Q♣ on a board {(s} 3♥ J♥ 7♣ 3♣ . Lim up to 16.7M.

Eugene Co all in with A♣ 4♣ but ran into Sin Ren Chen’s K♦ K♥ to bust in 4th place for a payout of ₫826,000,000 (~$33,670). Chen is now massive chip leader with 21.5M.

Chin Wei Lim jammed and Sin Ren Chen tank-called. It was a good call for a flip. Lim had pocket Fours, Chen with Ace-Eight offsuit, the board paired both of Chen’s cards for a double up to 16.75M. Lim dropped to 9.4M.

Mek Weng Kung was next to file out. He was all in on a flop A♥ A♠ 4♣ with K♠ T♠ , Chung Yi Ho called with A♣ Q♦ trips. The turn 3♠ gave Kung a flush draw but with the river 2♣ he missed and busted in 5th place for a payout of ₫663,000,000 (~$27,000).

Fuk On Wong all in for 1.6M with A♠ 6♠ , Chin Wei Lim called with 7♣ 7♠ . No improvement for Wong while Lim found a seven on the river for a set. Wong departed in 6th place for a payout of ₫514,000,000 (~$20,950).

Raised pot preflop, the flop came 10d} 9♠ 5♥ , Mek Weng Kung bet 500k, Lim check-raised all in for 7.4k, Kung called.

Lim A♠ T♠ Kung K♠ T♥

The turn J♠ and river 5♠ was a runner runner flush to Lim to ensure the win and the double up. He went on to win the next hand and now has 14.9M and has overtaken Chung Yi Ho for the lead.

Several hands after losing the showdown against Mak Weng Kun, Abhinav Iyer called Eugene Co’s raise preflop then sent his 1 BB in on the flop. On the runout, Iyer’s A♥ J♠ missed while Co’s 9♣ 9♠ improved to a set to ship it and climb to 8M just about average stack. Iyer earned ₫380,000,000 (~$15,490) for 7th place.

On a raised pot preflop with both players pumping in 1.2M each, Mak Weng Kung shoved 3.7M on a flop J♣ Q♦ T♦ . Iyer called. Kung had 9♥ 8♥ straight, Iyer 9♣ Q♣ , the turn T♣ and river 5♠ were no help to Iyer for a double up to Kung to 9.2M. Iyer dropped to 2M.

Wu Jun Hao three-bet jammed it and initial raiser Sin Ren Chen called. Wu had K♦ J♦ and was dominated by Chen’s A♥ 8♣ . The board ran A♠ J♥ 3♥ 7♥ 5♠

Eugene Co opened, small blind Chung Yi Ho three-bet jammed his massive stack, Co risked it.
