KPC Main Event (1,300,000 KRW)

After more than 13 hours of play and 17 levels, Day 1D of the KPC Main Event has officially come to an end. The flight drew a total of 347 entries, with 53 players making the money — but only 44 advancing to Day 2.

Liying Su comfortably ended the night as the chip leader with 907,000 (113 BB). Su managed to survive a crucial flip against Ding Biao, then built her stack further during the bubble stage, including a big 400,000-pot win after shoving on the turn against Yao Du. Her steady aggression helped her stay on top through the final level.

Right behind her is King Chun Horace Leung with 782,000 (98 BB). Leung surged early after winning a massive 450,000 pot with kings against Tien Dung Pham’s pocket nines, and remained near the top of the counts throughout the day.

The money bubble burst when Hoang Bach Nguyen’s Ace-King ran into the Kings of Bo Yang, securing the final 53 players in the money. Just 30 minutes later, play wrapped up after reaching the 44-player mark.

The final Day 2 bubble burst in a blind-versus-blind showdown, as Khoa Anh Ngo’s Queen-Eight failed to connect against Xiang Li’s King-Deuce, making Li the last player to qualify from Day 1D.

Action folded to the small blind, where Khoa Anh Ngo shoved for 76,000. In the big blind, Xiang Li made the call with 80,000 behind.

Ngo was behind but had live cards. However, the flop A♦ 4♥ 2♦ and turn 9♣ brought no help, and with six outs left, the river A♥ missed as well. Ngo was eliminated as the Day 2 bubble for Day 1D of the KPC Main Event.

With 45 players remaining, we are once again in hand-for-hand play for the Day 2 bubble.

Play continues with 53 players remaining as we play down to 44, all of whom will advance to Day 2. Players need to qualify for Day 2 to secure the next pay jump.

Action began when Hoang Bach Nguyen open-shoved for 56,000, and on his left, Bo Yang reshoved for 204,000. No other players called, setting up a bubble showdown.

Nguyen needed an ace to stay alive, but the board Q♦ 9♦ 3♥ T♦ 6♠ offered no help. Yang’s kings held, eliminating Nguyen and officially bursting the bubble.

Facing a raise, Dylan Wayne Foster from the big blind 3-bet shoved for 103,000, and Yao Fang made the call.

The board 6♦ 3♠ Q♦ 7♦ 2♦ ran clean for Foster, and his kings held strong to secure a double-up.

It’s now official bubble time, but players are on a scheduled 10-minute break for the chip race of the 500-denomination chips.

From UTG+2, Fangzhou Zhu and Rui Guo in the small blind went all in for 67,000, and Zhu made the call.

Guo was dominated and nearly drawing dead after the flop K♦ 8♣ 2♥ , with the turn A♥ sealing the win for Zhu. The dealer revealed the river K♠ , confirming Guo’s elimination — marking the end of the soft bubble.

While Day 1D is currently in hand-for-hand play awaiting an all-in and a call, Day 1E has officially closed with 227 entries. The next two players to bust from Day 1D will be the last to miss the money, as registration is now closed.

Xu Dong Jin climbs to the top after winning a key hand against Dylan Foster, now leading the field with 725,000.

Only 55 players left and just two more to go before the money. Hand-for-hand play is now underway as we enter the soft bubble!

A massive four-way all-in preflop erupted here at the KPC Main Event Day 1D. Jiang Pu was the shortest stack with 14,000, Martin Sedlak was all in for 62,000, Yayun Liu pushed for 121,000, and Cheng Huang covered them all.

The flop A♥ A♦ 8♠ came down perfectly for Sedlak, giving him trip aces, and the turn 8♣ sealed the deal, with the river 9♥ just a formality. Sedlak scooped the main pot, while Liu took the side pot, losing only about 3,000 from his stack.

When I arrived, the flop 9♦ 7♣ 6♣ and turn were already A♥ on the board with 43,000 in the middle. It was a battle of the blinds, as Liying Su bet 21,000 and Ding Biao made the call.

After the river 2♥ was revealed, Su moved all in for 55,000. Biao used his last three time banks before eventually making the call.

Su’s tens held strong against Biao’s pair of nines, earning her a double-up.

With around 80,000 already in the middle and both the flop J♥ 8♠ 3♣ and turn 4♠ on the board, King Chun Horace Leung from the big blind bet half pot. Tien Dung Pham, from UTG+1, raised to 90,000.

Leung took a look at Pham’s remaining stack before announcing all in. Pham used his final two time banks and eventually made the call for 138,000, committing the rest of his chips.

Leung was ahead, though Pham still had two outs. The river K♣ delivered a set of kings for Leung, sealing the deal and pushing him to the top of the chip counts.

From UTG+1, Shengyong Wang opened to 6,000, the button called, and Serhii Ten in the small blind raised to 21,000. Action folded back to Wang, who 4-bet shoved for 103,500. The button got out of the way, and Ten called all in for 96,500.

It was a classic flip, but Wang’s hooks held as the board 5♠ 5♣ 4♦ T♥ T♠ ran clean, sending Ten out of the tournament.

When I got to Table 8, Shuyi Lou was already all in, and Zhihua Yang had made the call. While I'm counting Lou’s chips, he smiled kindly and said, “It’s 26,000,” before revealing his cards.

Although Lou was dominated preflop, he found salvation on the flop K♣ Q♦ T♥ , hitting two pair and shouting “Hold!” as the turn 9♣ and river 8♦ were dealt. The board held, and Lou secured a double-up, his smile now even wider.

Another lady falls at the hands of Jia Lin Luo. Luo opened preflop and called the 3-bet shove of Ying Song from the big blind for 29,500.

This time, Luo was ahead and stayed that way as the board 6♥ 4♥ A♥ 7♣ 6♠ favored her, eliminating Red Dragon player Song from the field.

After being eliminated from the KPC Super High Roller, Ding Biao made a max late registration for KPC Main Event Day 1D and wasted no time getting involved.

From middle position, Mingcheng Zhang opened to 4,000 and called after Biao shoved for 42,000.

Behind but holding live cards, Biao connected with the board K♥ 6♥ 4♦ 9♠ T♥ to make two pair, earning a double-up to stay in the game.

Another three-way all-in took place preflop between Xiangyu Yu for 13,500, Wenwen Chen for 51,000, and Chengxu Hu, who had both players covered.

Chen was ahead of both opponents and held strong as the board 7♥ 7♣ 6♥ 3♦ 7♠ ran out clean, scoring a double-up and eliminating Yu in the process.

From UTG+1, Jia Lin Luo open-shoved for 23,500, almost a blind steal attempt, but in the big blind, Yuri Ishida woke up with hooks and quickly made the call.

It was lady versus lady, and Luo found some magic on the flop A♥ 8♠ 5♦ , spiking a set of fives to take the lead. The board 6♣ 6♥ ran clean after that, giving Luo a double-up while Ishida could only smile at the bad beat.

Grant Gardner opened to 3,000, and action folded to the big blind Jiang Pu, who made the call.

Gardner kept the pressure on, firing 3,000 on the flop 7♦ 4♣ 2♣ and 7,500 on the turn 5♣ , both called by Pu. On the river Q♠ , Gardner didn’t slow down, betting 13,500. This time, Pu gave up the pot, sending the chips Gardner’s way.

A three-way all-in erupted preflop between Hoang Bach Nguyen for 33,000, Bo Yang for 90,000, and Ouyang Bo with 90,500.

Despite being the shortest stack and behind preflop, Nguyen spiked a top set on the flop 5♦ 4♥ 2♥ and held through to the runout 8♦ T♥ for a triple up. Yang secured the side pot, adding 24,000 to his stack, while Bo, who began the day as one of the early chip leaders, was left with just 500 chips and busted the very next hand. A brutal turn of events for the former frontrunner.

The KPC Main Event Day 1D has closed with a total of 347 entries. A total of 53 players will make the money, but play will continue today until the field is down to 44 players. There are currently 172 players remaining in action.

Players are now on their 1-hour dinner break. Registration will close after the break, and a chip race for the 100-denomination chips will also take place during this time.

Zengxiang Chen, fresh from his win last night at the WPT Prime Korea Main Event, is now back again for more action as he said yesterday that he will not celebrate and continue to play today for Day 1D.

The board 7♥ 6♣ 4♣ A♦ 3♥ was up with 23,700 in the middle, big blind Caiming Pan bet 8,000, and button Chen put 34,700 in the middle, leaving one 1,000 chip behind which Pan called. Chen showed his hand A♥ 5♠ for a river straight and got a big double up.

So much action unfolded at Table 5. It began with massive chip leader Jinghan Yu opening to 2,600 from UTG, followed by calls from Denghao Chen in the cutoff and Xiang Li on the button. From the small blind, Pingfeng Wu shoved for 5,700. Yu called, but Chen raised to 17,600, which Li also called. Yu laid his hand down.

On the flop A♥ 8♦ 5♦ , Chen fired 8,000, and Li called. On the turn 4♣ , Chen started counting his chips while Li held his stack ready, signaling he would call. Li even told Chen that if he shoved, he’d instantly call. Chen used two time banks before checking in frustration, and Li checked back. On the river 2♦ , Chen used another time bank before finally shoving for 26,800. Li thought briefly, used a time bank, and called.

Chen expressed his frustration, saying Li shouldn’t talk while he was still thinking about his move, a poor table etiquette moment from Li, but it worked out in his favor. Li scooped the massive pot, eliminating two players in the process.

The board J♥ 2♦ 4♣ 2♠ 9♣ was already up with 15,300 in the middle when Cheng Lin Yu fired a huge 21,000 overbet, putting Trinh Anh Tuan deep in the tank. After using a time bank, Tuan made the call for his remaining 16,700.

Yu showed the bluff, and Tuan’s top pair held to secure a double-up.

Taiwanese players continue to pour into the Jeju Poker Festival, now taking their seats in the KPC Main Event Day 1D.

Among them is Patrick Liang, who finished 4th place in yesterday’s WPT Prime Korea Main Event and is back in action, chasing another deep run.

From the cutoff, Yi Jhen Ke opened to 2,600, and Xu Dong Jin defended his big blind.

Ke fired 3,000 on the flop 9♣ 4♥ 2♣ and 6,000 on the turn 8♠ , both check-called by Jin. On the river J♠ , Jin checked once more, and Ke checked back for value.

Jin revealed K♣ 6♣ a missed flush draw, while Ke tabled T♥ td a pair of tens to take down the pot.

The KPC Main Event now fills half the tournament area with 24 active tables. Entries have climbed to 288, with 174 players seated. Just two levels left before registration closes!

Action folded to the button where Junxian Du, down to 11,400, moved all in. From the small blind, Shengyong Wang joined the action with his 9,800 stack.

Laughter erupted around the table as Wang revealed his pocket aces, tough luck for Du, who ran straight into them. The board J♣ 2♦ 7♣ 2♥ 7♦ ran clean for Wang, securing him a double-up, while Du was left short.

Fresh from a new buy-in, Qingtao Kong opened the action and called the 3-bet shove of Mikhail Katkov for 20,100, setting up a preflop all-in showdown.

Kong hit the flop A♣ T♠ 8♣ , leaving Katkov down to just two outs, but the turn J♣ gave him extra hope with an open-ended straight draw. The river Q♥ completed the straight, earning Katkov a much-needed double-up, while Kong’s fresh stack dropped to 9,100.

Two of the most decorated Taiwanese players clashed in an all-in showdown. Action folded to the small blind where Nevan Chang raised to 3,200, and on his left, Pete Chen moved all in for 22,600. Chang snap-called.

Chen found a pair on the flop K♠ J♠ 9♦ , but Chang hit a higher one, leaving Chen with only two outs to survive. The turn 8♠ and river Q♠ both missed, and Chang sealed the pot by improving to a nut flush on the river.

All the chips went in preflop as Vo Phi Bang moved all in for 10,500, called by Jia Lin Luo, who had the bigger stack.

Halfway to the end of registration, the field has already passed 200 entries with 150 players in their seats.

From early position, Wong Cheng Rui opened to 1,500, with Tom Maguire and Trinh Anh Tuan both making the call. In the small blind, Nana Sanechika raised to 5,500, and all three opponents called, sending four players to the flop 8♣ 3♥ 3♣ .

Sanechika checked, and Wong fired 9,000. Maguire and Tuan folded, leaving only Sanechika to continue. Both players checked the turn Q♣ , leading to the river 5♠ , where Sanechika led out for 17,000.

Wong used one time bank before folding and asked, “Pocket tens is good?” Sanechika simply smiled and replied, “No, I win.”

Facing an early position raise, Tien Dung Pham 3-bet to 3,700. From the small blind, Pan Gao moved all in for 11,700, and Linghui Dai in the big blind followed with a shove for 21,600. Both the initial raiser and Pham folded, leaving the two players to battle it out.

Jinlong Hu, an online WSOP bracelet winner and APT Main Event champion, has landed here at the Jeju Poker Festival and jumped straight into Day 1D of the KPC Main Event. The professional poker player from China was seen taking it easy early on, enjoying his lunch while playing as a warm-up. Hu has built an impressive career on the Asian poker circuit, consistently grinding events across Vietnam, the Philippines, Korea, and Cambodia.

From the hijack, Junhao Zhu opened to 1,100, and Yao Fang called on his left. On the button, Baojie Lin 3-bet to 3,900.

Action folded back to Zhu, who called, but Fang shoved all in for 19,800. Lin used a time bank before announcing all in, and Zhu quickly folded, setting up a big preflop showdown.

It was bad news for Fang when he saw Lin’s aces, leaving him with just two outs. The flop A♥ K♥ 8♦ gave a disaster for Fang, and the runout J♣ Q♥ ran dry, and Fang was eliminated as Lin’s aces held strong.

Fresh from a re-buy, Chiayun Wu opened to 1,100 from the cutoff, and Ji Li called from the button.

On the flop K♥ T♣ 4♣ , Wu check-raised to 4,500 after Li’s 1,500 bet, and Li made the call to see the turn A♦ , which both players checked.

The river 7♦ saw Wu check again, and Li bet 7,000. Wu snap-called, and Li revealed his hand Q♠ Q♣ , but it was no good against Wu’s hand K♣ J♦ for a pair of kings, earning the pot for the Taiwanese player.

Players are now on their first scheduled 15-minute break.

After losing a few pots, Long Jin found himself all in for around 20,000 against Alan Khoo.

The flop J♣ 5♠ 2♦ brought no help for Jin, and the turn A♦ was a disaster as Khoo improved to a set, leaving Jin drawing dead. Jin stood up from his seat as the dealer revealed the river 3♥ , signaling the end of his run.

Chiayun Wu from Taiwan has arrived at the Jeju Poker Festival 2025 and went straight into action, joining Day 1D of the KPC Main Event.

A well-known MTT grinder, Wu has already recorded an impressive 368 career cashes as of November 2025. One of his biggest accomplishments came when he conquered the TMT 14 Main Event, outlasting a massive field of 3,485 entries.

Now, Wu is aiming to add another deep run and perhaps a new trophy to his ever-growing list of achievements here in Jeju.

From the hijack, Long Jin opened to 800, and Zihao Zhang in the small blind raised to 2,000. Jin made the call to see the flop 7♠ 7♣ 6♠ .

After taking the lead preflop, Zhang check-called Jin’s 1,400 continuation bet. The turn came 9♥ , and Zhang checked once more. Jin fired 6,200, but Zhang instantly snap-raised to 20,000, putting Jin in a tough spot.

Jin decided to fold, and Zhang kindly showed his hand Q♣ Q♠ before raking in the pot.

Another bracelet winner spotted here at the Jeju Poker Festival is Wei Guoliang. Guoliang earned his WSOP bracelet in the $1,111 No-Limit Hold’em Little One for One Drop event at the 2018 World Series of Poker, where he scored his biggest career cash of $559,332.

His most recent championship came at the EPT Cyprus in October 2024, where he triumphed in the $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em EPT Mystery Bounty event for $265,972.

Now, Guoliang is looking to add his first trophy of the year, as he takes his seat in the KPC Main Event Day 1D here in Jeju.

Ouyang Bo moved to Table 6 and immediately got involved in the action. Facing a limp, Bo raised to 900 from the button. Xiang Li, in the big blind, made the call, and the initial limper came along as well.

On the flop Q♠ J♠ 7♥ , Bo bet 1,100, with only Li calling. Both checked the turn J♦ , and on the river 2♥ , Li led out for 2,800. Bo quickly called, but Li revealed his hand J♣ 5♣ for a trips on the turn to win the pot, while Bo mucked his hand.

The board K♣ J♠ 2♣ Q♦ 9♣ was already up with 9,300 in the middle when Long Jin, from the hijack, bet 4,600. Ouyang Bo, still looking for action, raised it to 13,000.

Jin used a time bank before making the call. Bo then revealed his hand 4♣ 3♣ for a rivered flush to scoop the pot, while Jin mucked his hand.

More players are now pouring into the field as the action continues to heat up here at KPC Main Event Day 1D.

From the hijack, Mikhail Katkov opened to 500, and Kok Hei Chai 3-bet to 1,700. Katkov made the call, and both players checked the flop A♦ Q♠ 9♦ to see the turn T♣ .

Chai fired 1,800, and Katkov check-called. With a drawing board on the river 2♦ , both players checked it down.

Katkov revealed Q♥ J♦ for a pair of queens, but Chai showed K♠ K♥ for a pocket kings to take down the pot.

The K Poker Cup Main Event Day 1D kicks off at Jeju Poker Festival 2025!

Today marks the last chance to qualify for Day 2 of the K Poker Cup Main Event, the second main event of the Jeju Poker Festival 2025. With a guarantee of KRW 880,000,000 (~US$600,000) and a buy-in of only KRW 1,300,000 (~US$900), the prize pool is expected to surpass the guarantee today as Day 1D gets underway. The first three flights have already drawn a combined 678 entries.

Players will begin with a deep stack of 30,000 (150 BB) and play 40-minute levels. Registration closes at the end of Level 9, approximately 6:45 p.m. local time, with late entrants receiving 20 big blinds to start. Only 15% of the field will make the money, and play will continue until 12% of the field remains to advance to Day 2.

For latecomers, there is still one more opportunity to enter. The final turbo flight, Day 1E, kicks off tonight at 8:00 p.m., featuring 20-minute levels.
