2024 APPT Cambodia: Festival Preview

Craving for more poker in the Kingdom of Cambodia? PokerStars has you covered with the return of its flagship live series, the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), set for this November 15 to 25, 2024.

The third annual APPT Cambodia will once again take place at world class NagaWorld Integrated Resorts, located in the heart of Phnom Penh. In collaboration with Connaissance Management Limited, the event promises over US$ 1 million in guarantees, with the Main Event alone boasting a US$ 500,000 starting prize pool.

Since its debut in 2022, APPT Cambodia has firmly established itself as a fixture in the yearly PokerStars LIVE calendar. Players now have more than just the Philippines to experience the excitement of this premier series, as all the crowd favorites that the APPT is known for are featured in the Cambodia schedule as well.

APPT Main Event

The APPT Main Event is the festival’s crown jewel, and for this edition it comes with a guaranteed prize pool of US$ 500,000, which is an increase of US$ 100K from last year’s guarantee. The ultimate goal, however, is to surpass the brand’s current record in the country, which stands at US$ 623,322.

The headliner event runs from November 21 to 25, 2024 with three starting flights scheduled followed by Day 2 and the Final Day. This year’s buy in sees a slight increase to US$ $1,650, from that of last season’s US$ 1,500 entry. Each Day 1 flight plays down to ITM at 15% of the field, or end of Level 15, whichever is first reached.

High Roller Specials

Complimenting the anticipated APPT Main Event are several High Roller offerings on schedule, totalling to a dozen high-tier buy-in tournaments throughout the 50 event lineup. Opening day sees the Warm-Up High Roller play down to a winner, followed by at least one High Roller special available daily. Deep pocketed players are in for a busy time ahead with its tail end highlight – APPT High Roller, listing another impressive US$ 200,000 guarantee.

Other Guaranteed Events

Aside from the Main Event festivities, a number of six-figure guaranteed events are lighter on the pocket with buy-ins ranging from US$ 300 – US$ 900. The five multi-day events listed below adds in another US$ 380,000 in guarantees, sure to ring over a million in prizes to its attendees.

APPT Cambodia Milestone Qualifiers

In addition to the online satellites offered on the PokerStars client, daily milestone qualifiers to both the US$ 150,000 guaranteed APPT National, and the US$ 500,000 listed headlining Main Event, are likewise available daily through November 22nd. Those intent on extending their bankrolls and keeping their festival expenses at a limit can take advantage of the series’ satellite lineup for a fraction of the price. The highest price point at US$ 385 runs on Wednesday, November 20th, where five Main Event seats are guaranteed across the Main Event Mega Qualifier.
