APPT Cambodia Day 3 Highlights And 56 Advance At APPT National
The first key event of the APPT Cambodia concluded with a total of 278 entries turning up for the APPT National. Today, November 18, 2024, only 56 players return to NagaWorld Integrated Resorts in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, each one hunting down a coveted spot in the money round with only 39 guaranteed a piece of the US$ 218,425 prize pool. The minimum payout is US$ 1,480 and awaiting the champion is a juicy US$ 44,680.

At yesterday’s games, Day 3 of APPT Cambodia crowned three more winners, each one claiming a coveted PokerStars spadie from the awards table. The newly minted were Jussi Rintalahati, Matuphoom Pangsriviniji, and Leo Kamiya. Over at the APPT Hyper Turbo $30,000 guaranteed event, Jaemin Kim bagged the top stack.

When play resumes, Flight A chip leader Hyeonsik Yun leads the way with 480,000 (96 bb) and is trailed closely by Flight B leader Anton Poliakov with 457,000 (91 bb). This is Poliakov’s second time to top heat having done the same at the kick off event eventually placing 8th. Another strong contender is Michael Kim Falcon who bagged the biggest at Flight C.
Down the leaderboard, players in the field that will be closely watched as well are Aladin Reskallah who won the Warm Up High Roller, Yannick Leonard (who is celebrating a birthday today), Quan Qiu, Adrien Berger, and filipino aces Mike Takayama and Martin Gonzales.

Jussi Rintalahati Wins Superstack
The two-day Superstack resumed with the final 9 players out of the 156 runners hunting down the lion’s share of the US$ 39,948 prize pool. Finland’s Jussi Rintalahti entered as chip leader, and in the end, he held on to capture the win and his career second PokerStars spade.
The final hand was quite a doozy with Andrei Budykin all in with J♦10♦. Budykin landed two pair by the turn 10♠8♦5♦J♣ but when the river landed 9♥, Rintalahati’s K♣7♦ burned it to deny the double up and ship the win.
Matuphoom Pangsriviniji Wins Shot Clock
The Shot Clock event attracted a field of 90 runners, costing each one an affordable. US$ 300. Out of the US$ 23,047 prize pool, it was Matuphoom Pangsriviniji who prevailed in a swinging heads up Gregory Winyard that could have gone either way. After Pangsriviniji doubled up with A♣10♦ over K♠3♠, he went on to win it with 6♠6♦ set beating K♠J♠ on a board 6♥K♥A♣7♥5♠.
Leo Kamiya Wins First PLO Event
The other champion of the day was Leo Kamiya at the $1,100 PLO event, outlasting the 20 runners to lock up the biggest cut of the US$ 19,206 prize pool. Kamiya pocketed US$ 8,258 after defeating Aike Ing at heads up.
APPT Hyper Turbo – Day 1A
At the APPT Hyper Turbo Day 1A, featuring a US$ 30,000 guarantee, 28 signed up with 5 players through to the ITM round. At the top of the short list is Jaemin Kim who bagged the biggest of 213,000, setting the pace for the next flight to come.
