TLPT Main Event Falls Short of $1.5M Guarantee After Final Flights
The final two starting flights of the TLPT Jeju 2026 Main Event played out on Tuesday, with the tournament officially closing registration well short of its USD 1,500,000 guarantee as the festival’s headline event now heads into Day 2 inside LES A Casino at Jeju Shinhwa World.
Main Event Misses Guarantee After Final Flights
The TLPT Main Event added another 431 entries across the final two opening flights, with Day 1d drawing 274 entries and Day 1e contributing a further 157.
That brought the overall field to 968 entries across five starting flights, which didn’t meet the TLPT target. However, the guarantee has been honored, and the top prize of KRW 330,000,000 is one that all remaining players will have their eyes on. The prize pool also includes three seats to the upcoming USD 15,000 TLPT High Roller Main Event later in the series.

A total of 148 players reached the money across the starting flights, though four players secured payouts twice after qualifying more than once. That leaves 144 unique players returning for Day 2.
Taiwan’s Yang Yi topped the Day 1d field after bagging a massive 980,000, while China’s Xin Xin led the Day 1e survivors with 617,000. Japan’s Takami Kohei and China’s She Jumiao were among the biggest bags from the penultimate flight, while Shen Yinchao also advanced comfortably from Day 1e.
