Peng Chen Wins the Billionaire Club Challenge with a Straight Flush After Two Runner-Up Finishes
The U Series of Poker (USOP) Vietnam 2026 Ha Long Bay High Roller action reached its peak at the world-class InterContinental Ha Long Bay Resort , where China’s Peng Chen broke his runner-up streak to win the prestigious Billionaire Club Challenge trophy and a first-place prize of over VND 2 billion (~USD 76,130).
The victory also continued the dominant run of Chinese players in the festival’s high roller events, further cementing China’s strong presence on the biggest stages of the series.
Peng Chen Wins the Billionaire Club Challenge

The Billionaire Club Challenge brought out 41 elite entries for the biggest buy-in event of the series. The strong turnout broke the initial VND 4 Billion guarantee, creating a total prize pool of VND 5,904,000,000 (~USD 224,000) with the top seven players earning a cash prize. In the end, Peng Chen won the tournament after defeating his fellow countryman Guoliang Wei in heads-up play. Chen took home the top prize of VND 2,006,500,000 (~USD 76,130).
This victory was a major breakthrough for Chen, who had just finished as the runner-up in back-to-back high roller events earlier in the series. Combined with his deep runs right before this event, Chen has now earned approximately VND 3,270,900,000 (~USD 124,000) at USOP Vietnam 2026.
Final Table Action

Toan Chan Truong , who previously won the Superstar Challenge , started the final table as the chip leader. However, he was the first player to fall after losing a series of pots. He went all-in against Wei, who held a better ace kicker, eliminating Truong in seventh place. Mingcong Chen was knocked out in sixth place after losing a coin-flip hand against Luke Martinelli . Bracelet holder Jinlong Hu then ran into the pocket aces of Wei, exiting the tournament in fifth place.
Sean Ooi was eliminated in fourth place when Wei hit a straight on the river to beat Ooi’s ahead hand. On the very next hand, Martinelli went out in third place when his top pair and flush draw failed to beat the pocket queens of Wei.
Straight Flush Seals the Title
Heads-up play began with Wei holding the chip lead over Chen. The match lasted for more than an hour. Chen took the lead after winning a coin flip, bringing the two players close to even. After another 30 minutes of play, Chen built a 4-to-1 chip lead.

On the final hand of the tournament, Chen held king-nine of spades against the queen-six offsuit of Wei. The dealer put out a straight flush for Chen on the turn, locking up the victory and eliminating bracelet winner Wei in second place for VND 1,313,600,000 (~USD 49,840). Chen got his revenge for his past runner-up finishes and claimed the title with a rare straight flush.

Chen’s Previous High Roller Runner-Up Finishes

Before winning the Billionaire Club Challenge, Chen narrowly missed out on two other major titles. The VND 66 Million (~USD 2,500) buy-in High Roller 6-Max Event attracted 43 entries, pushing the initial VND 1.8 Billion guarantee up to VND 2,476,800,000 (~USD 94,000). Hao Tian won that event for VND 833,800,000 (~USD 31,600), adding to his career earnings of over USD 1.7 Million, while Chen finished in second place.

Soon after, the High Roller Megastack drew 48 entries for a VND 77 Million (~USD 2,920) buy-in, raising the prize pool to VND 3,225,600,000 (~USD 122,000). Junqiang Lyu won the tournament for VND 1,050,000,000 (~USD 40,000), where Chen once again finished as the runner-up.
