The inaugural WPT Vietnam kicked off another thrilling day of games with winners crowned amidst a packed house of Main Event attendees at the Pro Poker Club. We’ve got those highlights for you below.
250 runners for Day 1B of the Main Event
A strong showing of 202 players came out for Day 1B of the Main Event with the enticing VND 8 BN Guaranteed herding them all in. Out of that crowd, 48 fired a second bullet to bring the total entries to 250. This more than doubled Day 1A’s 105 turnout.
Trickling in throughout the day were some of the biggest names in the Asian circuit: Yohwan Lim, Huu Dung Nguyen, Soo Jo Kim, Raghav Bansal, Dang Van Hien, Tzai Wei Phua, Danny Tang were just some of the players at the scene.
For several, it was a solid day at the felt. Zarvan Tumboli amassed 177,000, Natalie Teh racked up 166,500, Norbert Koh continued his hot run in the country bagging up the second largest stack of 307,000, and for local player Nguyen Thai Duong, he outshined with 315,500.
