Fabian Rolli Emerges Victorious in Mini Championship

The dust has settled, and France's Fabian Rolli stands tall as this WPT Cambodia season’s Mini Championship winner following a grueling two-day battle. Rolli triumphed over a field of 457 entries, securing the largest payout on the list at $79,000 after striking a heads-up deal with compatriot Leo Soma. Along with his prize money, Rolli also takes with him a $1,100 entry to the WPT Prime Championship at Wynn Las Vegas and the coveted WPT trophy.
"I’ve run so well. I haven’t really lost a single hand, so it wasn’t hard to play this time. Just very lucky—so lucky.", commented Rolli in his post-match interview.
"Heads-up variance is really high, and he was also a really good player, so I was happy to make the deal, and he was happy too. We both knew it could go really fast, so we were both happy with the deal."
The two Frenchmen entered the final table atop the ranks and dominated the final rounds from start to finish. Rolli's momentum came at the cost of Jason Lau six-handed, when his turned flush got value from Lau's rivered trips to seize the lead. From there, Rolli single-handedly delivered the last five eliminations, earning him the final victory as he finished off Soma in a quick heads up battle for the trophy.
"It's my first time playing in Asia, it's been the best trip so far. They have everything here, right? I haven't left the casino for 20 days now, so maybe we'll check out something in Cambodia.", Rolli added.
