Georgios Skarparis Knocks Out a Player
Georgios SkarparisWith the board showing Q♠T♥ 5♥ J♥ on the turn, the big blind checks, and Lin Aung San bets 8,000 from under the gun. Georgios Skarparis calls from the hijack, and the big blind check-raises to 22,000, leaving himself only about 1,000 behind.
San tanks for a while before he folds, and Skarparis quickly raises to put the big blind all in. The big blind calls all in for about 23,000 with K♦ J♦ for a pair of jacks with an open-ended straight draw, but Skarparis turns over A♥ 8♥ for an ace-high straight, and the big blind is drawing dead.
San's cards haven't hit the muck yet, and even though he folded he flips them over to show he had A♠A♣ .
The meaningless river card is the 6♥ , and Skarparis wins the pot with his flush to eliminate the player in the big blind.
