Action ended with 7:55 remaining in Level 17, with blinds at 5,000-10,000 and a10,000 ante. Day 2 will roll the blinds back to the earliest point where a starting flight finished.

Official chip counts for the 42 survivors will be released by the casino later tonight, and they will be returning on Monday at 11:30 pm for Day 2, where everyone will start play in the money.

There will be two more starting flights over the next two days, with Day 1B beginning tomorrow at 11:30 am, and Day 1C beginning on Sunday at 11:30 am.

The dealers are instructed to stop after the current hand for the bubble play to unfold and that very hand brings the eventual showdown everyone else in the room is rooting for.

Raffaele Sorrentino raises to 22,000 and Jinlong Hu three-bets to 57,000 with a stack of around 210,000. The four-bet shove by Sorrentino follows and Hu calls.

"You didn't see the club, bro?" Sorrentino replies and the crowd gasps when the 2♣ follows on the turn.

"Three of clubs," Sorrentino predicts and the river brings the A♣ for the rail to groan, as Hu slowly exits on the Day 1a bubble with a bad beat story to tell.

With the board showing Q♠ 7♣ 3♦ T♦ on the turn, Vishal Ojha bets 52,000 from the hijack, and Raffaele Sorrentino calls from the button.

The river card is the A♣ , and Ojha bets 169,000, leaving himself just 10,000 behind. Sorrentino thinks for a few moments before he calls, and Ojha turns over K♠ J♠ for an ace-high straight. Sorrentino mucks, and Ojha wins the pot to nearly double up in chips.
