Guy Taylor – Early Years
From his first recorded tournament in 2007 to early 2015, Guy Taylor played exclusively in his native England. This is where he honed his game and would have his most success in later years. Taylor would then venture to the European Poker Tour in Malta and Prague where he initially had only moderate success. His first significant cash of $ 28,132 came in August 2015 at the Sky Poker 6-Max UK Poker Championships, Nottingham placing second at the High Roller Event. His hometown would bring more luck as Taylor would pick up a win at the Dusk Till Dawn 200 in March 2017 racking up another 20K plus prize money. In 2018, he would claim his biggest career live cash of $ 69,029 finishing third at the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour London. Taylor would find more success at this tournament in 2019, 2020 and 2022, clinching a major win at the Mystery Bounty Event of a special GUKPT Goliath 10th Anniversary edition with a payoff of $46,346.
WSOP results
The Englishman’s best performances in the United States would come in the 2017 World Series of Poker Main Event Championship with his second career best live-cash of $ 46,069, a deep run in the Monster Stack Event of the 2019 WSOP edition and a sixth place finish at the UltimateStack-Freezout Event of the Venetian DeepStack Championship Poker Series, Las Vegas banking $ 24,036.
