O'Neill turns over A♣ Q♣ , and needs to improve to stay alive against Yu's A♠ K♠

The board comes K♥ 8♠ 3♠ 4♥ 7♣ , and Yu wins the pot with a pair of kings to eliminate O'Neill in 16th place.

O'Neill takes the lead with trips on the J♣ J♦ 5♦ flop, but it is short-lived as Carvalho turns a flush with the 7♦ . O'Neill asks for a seven but the 4♠ river ensures the double for Carvalho.

Early into the new level, Micheal O'Neill limps the small blind and Yita Choong raises to 210,000 from the big blind. O'Neill limp-raises to 430,000 only for Choong to make it 900,000 to go.

O'Neill goes into the tank with three time bank extensions, then nods and sends his cards into the muck with a smirk on the face.

"You waste three time banks for that?!" Choong jokes back, neither player reveals their cards.

On the river of a three-way pot with the board showing K♦ Q♠ 9♠ A♣ 5♥ , Vyacheslan Shin bets 150,000 in the small blind. Andres Vasquez calls from the big blind and Micheal O'Neill folds in an early position.

Shin wins the pot with the A♠ Q♥ , Vasquez flashes his cards for a second and mucks.

Vasquez is down to 335,000 and doubles through Yita Choong in the next hand with A♣ K♥ versus K♠ Q♠ thanks to trips on the A♦ Q♣ J♣ A♠ 2♦ board.

David Sommer is not as fortunate. He arrives on the table with a short stack and busts right away.

Daisuke Ogita raises to 85,000 and Yita Choong defends the big blind. On a flop of A♣ Q♦ 3♠ , Choong checks and Ogita bets 100,000 to force an instant fold.

In the very next hand, it folds to Choong in the small blind and he piles into Joshua Gebissa to force a fold.

Ali Hassan flips for his tournament life and the last 470,000 holding the A♣ Q♥ . Yunsheng Sun is ahead with T♣ T♥ but Hassan gets there on the Q♠ 9♣ 8♦ 2♠ K♣ board.

"What did you fold?" Hassan asks and Micheal O'Neill replies "I also had ace-queen," after which Hassan calls him a nit.

Sun is down to slightly more than two blinds and they go in the next hand with the 5♦ 2♦ . Kaifan Wang calls on the button with 8♦ 7♠ and wins with eight-high on the A♦ Q♥ 4♠ T♣ Q♦ .

On a heads-up flop of 8♣ 5♦ 2♦ , Micheal O'Neill in the big blind check-raises from42,000 to 120,000 and Yuhan Liu calls on the button. O'Neill checks the K♥ turn and Liu uses a time bank extension to then bet 200,000, O'Neill calls.

After the J♣ river, the quick check of O'Neill leads to Liu in the tank and he uses another two time banks before checking it back. O'Neill shows the 5♠ 4♦ and wins the pot.

Calvin Tan is dealt 4♦ 4♥ and gives it min-raise from late position, Kaifan Wang and big blind Micheal O'Neil 8♥ 5♠ defend their blinds and call. At the flop T♠ 6♦ 4♣ , Tan bets his set and blinds still call to take it to the turn 3♦ . With his open-ended, O'Neill steals control with a bet of 130,000, Tan calls while Wang check-folds. On the river 2♣ , O'Neill connects and fires 330,000 for his straight, Tan uses up a time bank before making the call then sees the bad news.

Ali Hassan raises 25,000 from under the gun, button player Micheal O'Neill and big blind Martin Sedlak give him some action. Hassan continues for 30,000 at the flop Q♥ 5♣ 8♠ , only O'Neill takes him on for a turn card J♣ . Hassan slows down and checks, O'Neill takes control for 80,000, Hassan calls and the board completes 4♠. Again Hassan passes to O'Neill who fires 140,000, Hassan folds.

Next hand, after O'Neill isn't done. He three-bets 75,000 on top of Kai Wang's open bet, Hassan isn't done either and announces all in for around 550,000. Wang quickly folds while O'Neill says "I can't pay that", and folds. Hassan says "I had better than Ace-Queen" as he arranges his chips.

Michael O'Neill is hoping that Calvin would make a move when he looks up the short stack all-in of Eric Wasylenko for around 126,000, as he has the K♠ K♥ .

Wasylenko is at risk with T♠ T♥ and improves on the Q♦ J♥ T♣ flop. O'Neill retakes the lead with the K♦ turn and the 2♣ river brings no further twist to the story.

Yunsheng Sun raises to 25,000 and then calls a three-bet to 95,000 by Michael O'Neill in the big blind. On that Q♥ 9♠ 3♠ flop, O'Neill continues for 85,000 but folds when Sun pulls the trigger with a shove.

Martin Zheng Wei Ng is all-in for around 230,000 with the A♠ K♥ and Michael O'Neill looks him up with the J♣ J♠ . The T♥ T♠ 8♣ 5♣ Q♦ board keeps pocket jacks ahead and Ng is heading to the payout desk.
