HAND #26 - Manuel Carvalho moves all in from the small blind for 1,250,000, and Yita Choong calls from the big blind with Q♥ 9♣ .

Carvalho turns over K♣ 5♦ , and needs his hand to hold to stay alive.

The board comes A♦ 8♦ 7♠ Q♠ 4♠ , and Choong pairs his queen on the turn to win the pot and eliminate Carvalho in seventh place.

Hand #25: Alex Puchalski min-raises from cutoff and Manual Carvalho defends his big blind. They then check it to the turn 4♠ 7♥ 5♦ 3♦ . Carvalho test-bets 350,000 and doesn't shake Puchalski who calls. It's back to checking on the river 8♥ .

Carvalho has Q♦ 4♦ , Puchalski claims the pot with K♦ 8♠ higher pair.

Hand #19: Manuel Carvalho raises to 325,000 on the button for both blinds to call including Yita Choong and Khorshad Sagor.

They check the T♦ 8♣ 7♦ flop to the 4♥ turn on which Choong checks. Sagor leads for 450,000 and Carvalho raises it up to 2,100,000. Choong folds while Sagor calls and checks the Q♠ on the river.

Carvalho moves all-in and Sagor calls for his last 3,850,000 without using any time bank. Carvalho shows K♥ 9♠ for a bluff and is somewhat stunned when Sagor reveals only J♥ 8♠ to double with a pair of eights.

Hand #20: One hand after this massive setback and in the final hand of the level, Yannick Jobin raises to 300,000. Carvalho three-bets to 850,000 but folds when Jobin pushes all-in.

Hand #16: Manuel Carvalho raises to 325,000 from under the gun and Yita Choong three-bets to 900,000 in the next seat. It folds back to Carvalho, who four-bets to 1,800,000. Choong then five-bets to 2,800,000 and Carvalho folds.

Hand #17: Khorshad Sagor opens to 325,000 from an early position and Carvalho defends the big blind. Carvalho bets the 6♥ 5♦ 3♣ flop for 250,000 and Sagor folds.

Hand #18: Alexander Puchalski raises to 300,000 and Choong calls in the big blind. They check down the Q♠ J♠ 7♥ Q♣ A♦ board and Choong flips over 6♠ 5♦ , Puchalski wins the pot with the 3♥ 3♦ .

HAND #8 - Yita Choong raises under the gun to 300,000, and Manuel Carvalho calls from the big blind. The flop comes A♥ K♠ 5♠ , Carvalho checks, Choong bets 250,000, and Carvalho calls. The turn card is the T♥ , and both players check.

The river card is the 2♣ , Carvalho bets 375,000, and Choong uses a Time Chip to tank for a while before he raises to 1,300,000. Carvalho uses a Time Chip of his own to tank for nearly a minute beofre he folds, and Choong takes the pot.

HAND #9 - Manuel Carvalho completes the small blind to 150,000, and Yita Choong checks his option in the big blind. Both players check to the turn on a board of T♠ 9♣ 7♠ T♦ , Carvalho checks, Choong bets 275,000, and Carvalho folds. Choong takes the pot.

HAND #10 - Manuel Carvalho raises from the button to 325,000, taking the blinds and ante.

HAND #11 - Xiao Liu moves all in under the gun for 625,000, taking the blinds and ante.

HAND #12 - Yannick Jobin raises from middle position to 375,000, Yita Choong reraises from the cutoff to 950,000, and Jobin folds. Choong takes the pot.

Manuel Carvalho raises the button to 250,000 and Tom Maguire calls from the big blind. On the K♠ 6♦ 5♣ flop, Maguire checks and then calls a bet of 150,000. The same action repeats on the 3♦ turn for 625,000.

Maguire quickly checks the T♦ river and Carvalho fires a third barrel for 1,500,000. One time bank later, Maguire opts to fold right before the players head into a scheduled break for the chip race of the T-5,000 denominations.

From under the gun+1, Alex Puchalski kicks it off with a min-raise that's called by small blind Yuan Yu. On the big blind, Manuel Carvalho defends by driving it up to1,200,000, Puchalski shoves and wins the pot after fast-folds from both opponents.

After 11 levels of play, Day 2 comes to an end with 13 players remaining, and the big stack belongs to Yita Choong, who bagged 9,655,000 (77 big blinds). He is closely followed by Manuel Carvalho, who finished with 9,325,000 (75 big blinds). Carvalho was on a bit of a roller coaster this evening, going from the chipleader all the way down to about one million in chips and then rebounding to finish second in chips closely behind Choong.

Murcia continues for 125,000, Carvalho tests him with a check-raise of 325,000, Murcia flats. The dealer then drops the turn J♠ where Carvalho takes charge for 450,000 and Murcia calls. On the river 5♦ , Carvalho tanks for one time bank then slides out 380,000, Murcia also uses a time bank then shoves 2,315,000. After the count, Carvalho calls.

Murcia shows 2♦ 2♣ which is far behind Carvalho's K♦ J♦ to exit in 15th place.

O'Neill takes the lead with trips on the J♣ J♦ 5♦ flop, but it is short-lived as Carvalho turns a flush with the 7♦ . O'Neill asks for a seven but the 4♠ river ensures the double for Carvalho.

Manuel Carvalho checks the Q♣ T♣ 5♥ 2♣ turn from the big blind and then calls for 350,000 when Nariman Yaghmai bets on the button. They check the 8♦ on the river and Yaghmai wins the pot with Q♥ 9♥ for top pair.

On a flop of 3♣ 3♦ 2♦ , Yuan Yu checks and Manuel Carvalho bets 240,000 for his table neighbour to check-call. The same action repeats on the 5♣ turn for 600,000 and Yu checks the 8♠ river as well.

Carvalho empties the clip and moved all-in with the covering stack. Yu calls with 9♥ 9♠ as Carvalho only briefly flashes J♥ T♠ for a bluff gone wrong. The double is worth 1,130,000 and former chip leader Carvalho drops to a shorter stack all of a sudden.

Khorshad Sagor has been fairly quiet at the table until this hand that ballooned his stack. He opens with a min-raise from under the gun then c-bets the flop 5♣ J♣ 9♥ . Manuel Carvalho calls again. On the turn T♣ Sagor checks then calls Carvalho's 460,000 bet leading to the river 8♣ . With four clubs on the board, Sagor shoves for 1,090,000, Carvalho tanks for two time banks then can't let go and calls.

Sagor shows K♣ J♠ nut flush that bests Cavalho's A♦ Q♣ second nuts.

Manuel Carvalho moves all in from the small blind, and Hayato Kitajima calls all in from the big blind for about 550,000 with A♠ 6♦ .

Carvalho turns over Q♣ J♠ , and Kitajima needs his hand to hold to stay alive.

The board comes Q♦ 9♣ 8♠ 6♣ K♥ , and Carvalho wins the pot with a pair of queens to eliminate Kitajima in 28th place.

Marius Kudzmanas jams the button with the A♠ 3♥ and table chip leader Manuel Carvalho calls from the big blind with the K♠ Q♠ .

The rich get richer on the Q♥ T♠ 6♣ 8♠ 8♣ runout and Kudzmanas heads to the payout desk.

Three ways to the A♦ Q♠ T♠ 2♦ turn, Marius Kudzmanas bets 275,000. Khorshad Sagor moves all-in from the next seat and Kaifan Wang folds, as does Kudzmanas.

One hand later, Kudzmanas pushes for 505,000 and scoops the blinds.

Sagor limps the next hand and Manuel Carvalho raises to 370,000. It folds back to Sagor, who jams for 1,350,000. Carvalho can all but laugh and sigh-folds after asking for an exact count.

Neng Zhao loudly screams "hoooollldddd" when he attempts to knock out his table neighbour Armon van Wijk in a flip with J♥ J♦ versus A♥ Q♥ .

The A♠ 9♠ 3♣ K♣ 7♥ board provides the ace and Zhao falls silent.

"I am a monkey, monkeys always win," van Wijk clarifies and then adds "you actually had a real hand ... I thought you were full of shit."

Also involved in the hand was Manuel Carvalho, who had folded preflop.
