The A♥ 3♥ 2♥ flop has the Aussie on the ropes and his fate is sealed with the 9♦ turn, which makes the 4♠ river a formality.

Tom Maguire raises UTG+1 to 200,000, and Armon Van Wijk calls from the cutoff.

The flop comes Q♣ 6♠ 4♠ , Maguire checks, Van Wijk bets 175,000, and Maguire calls.

The turn card is the A♣ , Maguire checks, Van Wijk bets 600,000, and Maguire uses a Time Chip to think for a while before he calls.

The river card is the 2♠ , and both players check. Maguire shows Q♠ Q♥ to win the pot with a flopped set of queens, and Van Wijk mucks. After the hand, Van Wijk says he had an ace.

Here are the official chip counts from the break for the final 18 players, followed by the remaining payouts at stake:

Armon van Wijk raises it up to 120,000 on the button and Yu Lin three-bets to335,000 in the big blind for van Wijk to call. On the A♥ K♠ 2♠ flop, both players check. Lin bets the 4♥ turn for 160,000 and the Aussie comes along.

Lin then bets another 600,000 on the 4♦ river and van Wijk calls. No showdown unfolds, as Lin sends his cards into the muck to forfeit the pot.

Battle of preflop bets begins with a raise of 120,000 from Armon Van Wijk at cutoff. Small blind Kai Wang three-bets 410,000 but still doesn't push out Van Wijk who sends out a four-bet of 700,000. Wang assesses the bet then pushes around2.2M. Van Wijk snap-calls and Wang exclaims "Oh no!"

Wang opens up A♥ 8♠ and he is behind Van Wijk's Q♣ Q♦. The board offers no help running 6♣ 9♠ 9♥ 3♥ 5♦ for a big double up to the Aussie.

Three ways to the A♦ Q♠ T♠ 2♦ turn, Marius Kudzmanas bets 275,000. Khorshad Sagor moves all-in from the next seat and Kaifan Wang folds, as does Kudzmanas.

One hand later, Kudzmanas pushes for 505,000 and scoops the blinds.

Sagor limps the next hand and Manuel Carvalho raises to 370,000. It folds back to Sagor, who jams for 1,350,000. Carvalho can all but laugh and sigh-folds after asking for an exact count.

Neng Zhao loudly screams "hoooollldddd" when he attempts to knock out his table neighbour Armon van Wijk in a flip with J♥ J♦ versus A♥ Q♥ .

The A♠ 9♠ 3♣ K♣ 7♥ board provides the ace and Zhao falls silent.

"I am a monkey, monkeys always win," van Wijk clarifies and then adds "you actually had a real hand ... I thought you were full of shit."

Also involved in the hand was Manuel Carvalho, who had folded preflop.

Khorshad Sagor raises to 60,000 in the cutoff and Armon van Wijk three-bets to210,000 in the big blind for the initial raiser to call.

On the K♣ 4♠ 2♠ flop, van Wijk bets 85,000 to earn a call and then checks the T♥ turn. Sagor bets and forces out the Aussie, who jokingly says "I just never have a good hand there, story of my life".

Before Armon Van Wijk doubles up, Adam Friedman checks on a ruling regarding consecutive tanking preflop. According to Friedman, Van Wijk uses his 20 seconds at every hand and felt he was abusing the time given. It was ruled that if a player continuously tanks preflop then the TD was to be called to nudge the player into making a speedier decision.

Soon after, Van Wijk three-bet all in from the big blind with 9♥ 4♥ , Chan turns over A♦ 8♦ , the board comes 3♥ 4♠ 9♣ T♦ 4♣ giving Van Wijk a full house.

Armon Van Wijk looks down at Q♥ Q♠ and moves all in. He gets called by a player with 8♣ 8♠ . The board has no bad beats for an easy double up.
