Day1D Ends with Wangyu "OneQ" Kang Leading the Pack
The Won Poker Cup Main Event#2 Day1D ended today with Wangyu "OneQ" Kang bagging 549,000 chips and topping the 20 remaining players for the 4th flight of Day1. Joining him are Florent Remi, Leroy Fan, Nguyen Tuan Hung among others.
Second to last Day 1 flight, the day attracted a total of 114 entries where players battled it out for 40-minutes per level hoping to last until the end of the day to make it to Day2. Notables that didn't make it include Nguyen Quang Huy, Titov Oleg, Ji Young Kim, all of whom played the Single Day High Roller late into the night the previous evening.
For the running chip count of the players coming into Day 2, please watch out for our daily recap of the day.
Double Up for Hung
Bob Hung hung on for a very long time before making a move. He finally saw his chance near the end of the Day1D to double his very short stack, hoping to come in healthy for Day2.
We caught Hung go all-in at the button for 67,000. Nguyen Huu Cao Tri at late position called and tabled 7♦ 7♠. A groan came out of Tri when he saw Hung with 8♥ 8♣.
Board came K♣ 2♥ J♦ Q♥ 3♥ giving Hung a much needed reprieve from just hanging on.

Last 7 Hands
We are now at the last 7 hands to end Day1D
Blind Fight
Nguyen Huu Cao Tri called the blind after everyone folded to him and Carvey Horng at big blind checked. Flop came 8♠ K♥ 9♠ and Tri bet 5,000 and Horng called. Aggression flipped on a T♣ turn when Horng shot 13,000 to be called by Tri. On the river 2♣, showing weakness by checking, Horng took the opportunity to fire out 38,000 into the pot to push Tri out successfully out of the hand

We came to the table with an all-in from Erik Rozhynskyi all-in at late position on a flop of 6♦ 4♣ K♥ waiting for She Wei Wei to finish considering his move. Exasperated, Wei banged his chips to the middle of the table. Rozhynskyi showed Q♠ Q♣ versus Wei's 8♦ 7♦. Hoping for a redraw, the turn of 3♣ and river of 4♥ didn't improve Wei's hand at all.

Fan Shoots Out Big Guns but Fails
In another hand that involved Fan, OneQ raised the pot to 8,000 from middle position to be re-raised by Leroy Fan at hijack to 25,000. Covering his face with his hoody to hide a tell, OneQ tanked a bit before calling the huge raise.
Dealer flopped 8♠ 7♠ T♥ and both players checked. Turn 6♠ got another check from both until the J♣ river where OneQ bet 21,000. Fan called. OneQ showed A♠ J♥ for a pair and Fan mucked.

We didn't get to see the action prior but we got there in time to see Leroy Fan's Q♠ 6♥ versus Chang Huan Bin's A♣ K♠ get blown by a Q♥ 2♣ 4♦ J♦ 8♦ board. And the Bin has been taken out by the Fan.

Remi Stack Growing
Florent Remi was all-in with 90,000 on a flop of 4♥ 2♣ T♣ at small blind waiting for Quoc Khai at the button to make his move. Knowing that this would cripple his stack, Khai took his time to decide to call but called anyway in the anyway int end.
Remi turned over A♥ K♣ while Khai was ahead with &h &c. The turn was 8♣ upholding Khai's pockets. But Remi caught K♥ at the river doubling his stack.
In just 1 and a half levels, Remi has brought his starting stack to about 200,000.

Jhon Hendri was all-in at the button preflop waiting for Sega Wu Jie in middle position to act. Jie was taking time to act considering that Dmytro Dmytro Lytvynov, one of the chip leads in the field and who had him covered, was yet to act after him. Finally he made the call, and without taking too much time, so did Lytvynov.
Both players checked the flop of Q♥ K♥ 2♣. Jie bet 12,000 at the turn 5♥ which Lytvynov called. The river 5♦ was checked by both players.
Hendri tabled Q♦ T♦ and cheered when he saw Jie's 6♥ 6♠ and Lytvynov 7♥ 7♣ who won the side pot.

Rozhinskyi Doubles Up
We came to the table with Erik Rozhinskyi all-in preflop waiting on OneQ's action who was relaxed having a massage. Looking like he was enjoying his massage, he waited a bit before making the call.
Rozhinskyi showed Q♣ Qc and OneQ nonchalantly flipped over K♣ 4♣.
The dealer flopped 3♣ 5♥ 6♥ 6♣ 3♥ then pushed the pot towards Rozhinskyi.

Hung continued with 10,000 to be slowly called by Diep. The 5♥ river that Diep checked garnered an all-in of 27,000 from Hung. Flop showed K♣ K♥ 3♣ with a 1,000 bet from Xuan Qiu at small blind, a 3,500 raise from Fen Dy from big blind and action with Jung Woo Oh. Oh called but Qiu 3-bet to 12,500. A♠ Dy was thinking of his action, Oh was already picking up his chips to call. Seeing this Dy got out of the way for Oh to put the chips in the middle.
Qiu checked the turn 2♦ and Oh splashed the pot with 30,00o with chips going towards all directions. Surprised Qiu tanked and threw a time card in with 32,800 behind. Taking too long the dealer asked for another time card which he hesitantly gave then folded.
