The flop was safe for the Vietnamese player: 5♠ J♠ 2♦ but then the 6♠ arrived on the turn to give the Filipino more outs. The river, however, was the Q♠ to give Quynh a flush that shut the door on Erquiaga as Quynh also breaches the six-figure mark in terms of chips.

Playing on his second bullet, David Erquiaga of the Philippines open the action from the HJ for 2,200 and gets calls from Korea’s Hyong Yong Wu in the CO and Luwee Boon Ming of Malaysia in the BB.

The flop shows 5♣ 3♠ 4♠ as Ming checks. Erquiaga CBets to 3,000 and gets raised all-in by Hyong. The Malaysian opts to fold and eventually so does the Filipino as Hyong gets a mini double up with the take down.
